Game 1 Press Conference vs Browns

Great post but of course a lying idiot like Buckeye will make up stats to try and discredit you or ask you to name another coach who could replace Tomlin. Of course trying to find a coach with as poor a wafer thin resume as the con man when he was stupidly hired by the Steelers eliminates most coaches. One year as DC of the Vikings when they were last in the NFL in pass defense is his claim to fame.

And then there is the retard Crimson who is so inept in debating the merits of Tomlin he asks what have I done for the Steelers and tops it off by stupidly saying he is a loyal fan, who the **** cares. Except for getting fired annually from his jobs and moving his trashy family all over creation to suck a boss's dick to get a menial job he adds no value to anyone much less the Steelers unless you consider buying their garb in different countries improves their sales areas.

It will be fun once again watching the Tomlin lovers make excuses for their boy as the Steelers again flounder and miss the playoffs due to his poor coaching and the sloppy, stupid and lazy product that directly reflects on him. Would love to see the Steelers with a cerebral coach instead of the mental midget we have that looks like a deer in the headlights on game day unless the idiot is hiding his ugly mug in those cool shades. Fat and stupid is no way to go through life.

I get some of your negative obsession with each other.

But lets put on the bigboy pants and simmer down on the personal attacks.

I am sure it is possible to debate football without it.

Yawn ..... Good morning everyone. Today is a GREAT day to be a Steelers fan.

Let me ask you: when the Steelers finish below .500 this season, will you then give more credence to what Franco is saying, or will you continue to insist he is wrong?

So you're back...let's see if you can make it an entire season before you start querying about the credibility of Franco's assertions...

Coach Tomlin hasn't had a season below .500; if he does, then we can have a discussion on how to correct that...until then...

Read the pic, again.

The core Tomlin took over had gone 39-15 with a Super Bowl win and another Championship Game appearance in the previous three seasons. They had a franchise QB entering his prime and were loaded with All-Pro players.

Anyone claiming Tomlin took over a mediocre team is flat-out wrong. It was arguably the league's best roster and was squarely in its prime.

No kidding.

Instead of just instantly dismissing the side of the conversation that is questioning the leadership of the team... How about presenting the argument FOR the direction of the team. I just can't understand how anyone can watch this team and not see the random huge plays that this team now gives up regularly. That doesn't raise any level at all of concern? Terrell Pryor goes Mike Vick circa Y2K last year, the team's run defense falls way the hell off, we open the preseason with teams gouging us on the ground all while getting no pressure on the qb (other than a really nice rush from Jarvis against NYG) if there were more I'm not remembering them.

Sorry, I truly feel like we're in for a long season. And before you spout off with the typical "go root for the ******* ravens then" ATTEMPT to grasp the questions and concerns being raised. Blow that it's only preseason **** out your ***. Losing is losing and being comfortable doing it is bullshit

Figures a complete idiot like you would like the piece of **** Obama. I bet you have one of his government phones along with every other handout trash like you can get from the government.
I'm not an Obama supporter, Franco. And I have my own mobile phone - want me to add you to my family plan???
You have to realize Bermuda is very similar to Obama, one can't keep a job and the other is bad at his job. You can add in neither one keeps their word both are losers
Let's see...

Ok.

Just a query...how long do you expect an inherited team to last going into the regime of the succeeding coach? Turnover has to happen at some point, right? At present, we've had two lean years equating to 8-8 records - and guess what, we started 0-4 last year...AND...we missed the playoffs by a FG and a pinky toe...

The fact is Coach Tomlin isn't Coach Cowher - nor his he Coach Noll; but, all three are winners and have brought a sum total of SIX trophies home. SIX.

Some of us choose to look at the glass as half-filled while other see it as half-empty; everyone will have a different outlook on life because we all have that freedom and ability.

I'm having steak for lunch...

Another rousing pro Tomlin argument

Ski, you seem to me to be an intelligent person/poster. That's why I'm sure that you understand that the "YAWN" responses were made in reply to Franco's "****", blah, blah, blah statements.

Some of us can't afford to go out to lunch every day, so I brown-bagged it again. No wait, let me re-phrase that before someone makes a Michael Sam joke out of it.

i think that that is the point why some (myself included) are concerned. out of everyone taken from 07-10 only timmons, spaeth (after being let go, gay (after being let go), worilds, brown and pouncey remain. there are 53 slots on the roster. 2011 looks like a draft class should. heyward, gilbert, brown and allen with only gilbert getting a second contract thusfar.
if these things don't concern you...so be it. the issue is, we haven't believed in these people enough to keep them around (save for wallace punk ***. enjoy that miami)

i feel like you said it perfectly "turnover has to happen at some point"
and it started 2 years ago so here we sit looking at the turd that they're rolling out onto the field. i'd ******* LOVE to be entirely wrong, and nothing would make me happier than to fire off a 12-4 season culminating in winning the super bowl.
i just don't see that right now

For me, this is Tomlin's make or break season. Outside of 1 or 2 teams, the AFC blows and the Steelers have a pretty easy schedule. They need to right the ship this year.

Honestly, if we dump Tomlin, do you know the bidding war that will occur to grab him as a Head Coach? You don't put a horse out to pasture when they've got plenty of pep in their step.

That's hardly a testament to his coaching ability. Unless you believe any coach who gets hired is by definition a great coach. Eric Mangini, Romeo Crennel, Herm Edwards, Rich Kotite, Bruce Coslet, Norv Turner, and tons of others fly in the face of that theory.

Someone getting hired is different than teams clamoring for a prized coach. Winning a SB, being in 2, and also still young, is a huge plus for his resume. Just because you don't view Tomlin as an asset, doesn't mean the NFL agrees with you.

Yes, and what the NFL agrees with has no correlation to success

Not to mention, I seriously doubt NFL owners are all that excited about his SB win from six years ago. It's more of a "what have you done for me lately?" type of league.
