Game Day Thread - Steelers vs. Ravens Part II

Yep....just like every other team's wants and needs. Next year will be our year. I am sure of it. Hopefully it won't be every other teams year also. Fingers crossed.

Is it possible that coaching or lack of is making a difference with our team's success year and year out? Minus the non-losing season aspect of course.

I think it does make a difference. I think with other coaches and the rosters we have had we would have lost way more.
 
We've seen variations of this movie multiple times starting with unleash hell. We'll run it back next year with the same Tomlin season.

Momentum Slash. It’s why when some said the Eagles game didn’t matter and then some even said this game makes no difference if they lose. I couldn’t disagree more. Momentum is huge. Limping in with self doubt,getting their ***** spanked is not the way to go into the playoffs. Joe Burrow and the Bengals will be going full bore on us. They can put up points. KC will have first seed to play for. We will see.

So you are fine with the schematics of our D and O over the last 7 years? Just good enough to get by the bad/average teams....to possibly make it into the playoffs.....just to lose horribly? Ok

I agree in this game. It hurts. But I think we can beat the Chiefs. They have to play on the road and are as banged up,as we are. Maybe more so. Tomlin is very good at home on special games.

I agree 100%. In the end though.....we did lose to better teams. We were also simy out coached in both games. Now we have the Chiefs and Andy Reid.

I thought for sure we were going to clean house last year. It was a move they should've made because the defense isn't not good enough given the personnel. They rely on talent rather than scheme just like they did with the killer Bs. That only gets you so far.

For years I was told by relatives that Tomlin couldn't get what he wanted. It was bullshit 10 years ago and it's bullshit now. The Steelers led the NFL in pro bowl appearances over a 10 year span with 52, so management gave him the talent. What did he have to show for it? 3 playoff wins. But never his fault. It was the d coordinator, it was Ben, it was this, it was that, never on Mike T. 5 playoff wins before 2011, 3 after but his minions never want to speak on this point. You know he can't win with a team constructed under him, so you lower the standard to .500 seasons. We're sick of it.

Hang in there man! I started following this organization in 1960 when I was 8. I know, I’m ******* old.
Been through horrible times in the 60’s, great and exciting times in the 70’s, back to reality in the 80’s, hope,excitement and rebirth in the 90’s, SBs in the 2000’s early, and wishing and hoping since 2011.
We’re just fans who live and die with our team and Art Rooney doesn’t even know we exist. Unfortunately Tomlin has Art and his son hooked and there’s not a damn thing we fans can do about it. I don’t think he’s a bad HC but I just think like you, his time has come and gone here.
It’s good to refresh like the Eagles did with Andy Reid. Helped both party’s.
It won’t happen here since Rooney sees success differently than we do I suppose.

That defense isn't winning **** when it comes to playing for championships. They'll continue to run the same **** over and over with zero success.

That's all 100% on the coaches.
