There's been a lot of negative things on here and rightfully so for the most part. The Steelers have been very disappointing in a lot of areas. Most frustrating is their inability to play complete games.

But there have been some encouraging things.

OL is improving. DeCastro and Pouncey are starting to play well together. It's still a work in progress but no doubt they are much improved from last year. The run blocking is hit or miss but at least there are some plays where there are real running lanes.

Bell is a stud. The OL is better but still not great and Bell is making something from nothing on a lot of runs.

Antonio Brown. He is now one of the best playmakers in the NFL. He's still able to get open with defenses trying to take him away.

Brice McCain - could it be? A CB with ball skills? the steelers have gotten few INTs the last few years and they ones they have gotten are usually on bad throws. McCain's INT vs the Jags is the first real play on a ball i can remember in a long time. Let's hope this is just the start of something and not a fluke.

Tuitt - got on the field and made a play. The defense is complicated and Tuitt made a bunch of mistakes in preseason. If the light is coming on then he can spell Keisel and keep him fresh so the Steelers can have a nice rotation.

McLendon - he has looked really good.

Good points. This offense can be really good. OL improving, great QB, superior WR, superb RB, Wheaton a good #2 WR, Heath solid if no longer the player he once was.

I feel the talent level is on this team is at least at playoff level
QB- A-
RB- B+
Oline B-
Receivers B
Dline C+/B-
Linebackers B-
Secondary C-
When you start adding the undisciplined play, lack of attention to detail and ridiculous goal line play calling, you get what we have here. And most of the bottom line is coaching.

QB- A- I don't know what QB you are watching, I have always loved Ben .....but this year he sucks
RB- B+ I would give our RB's a solid A
Oline B- agreed
Receivers B I give them a B+ just because AB is the best WR in the game right now.
Dline C+/B- Our entire D sucks ***
Linebackers B- Our entire D sucks ***
Secondary C- Our entire D sucks ***

Coaching D- and I didn't give them an F because I think it could be worse.

Coaching is a complicated rate IMO.

In certain areas it gets a flat F

game adjustments
team discipline
lack of benching players

Just came from the Methadone clinic, I presume?

j/k :D

After 5 games our CBs have 3 INTs. I can remember seasons where our CBs only had 1.

Our run D has improved significantly.

Blount was an excellent pickup and a severe upgrade over Redman and Dwyer.

Our offense is putting up yardage, and I think they're close to being something special to watch (once they figure out the whole endzone thing).

I have to ask - is Cortez Allen getting better? We signed him to a good bit of cash and, to me, he has looked bad. Tomlin said this week that Allen has been looking much better the last 2 weeks. I know he has picked the ball off but is he starting to look better?

you're not a real fan.
you're only supposed to ***** and whine about Tomlin's ignorance and Timmons being pushed around by a girl scout.

The way I see it...Ben, Bell and Brown are the only fantasy players even worth keeping...I laugh at those that picked up Blount and Wheaton.

The Steelers are underdogs against the Browns for only the third time in the last 20 years.

Should I take the Steelers +2?

It's about time

I think this is a game the Steelers take. Part of the problem in recent years is this nonchalant, thinking they "got this" attitude that you can see every time they play bad teams. Now that the urgency level is stepped up, people know the Browns are a good team, we might actually have a little extra spring in the step on Sunday. I think Steelers +2 is a safe bet.

The pick 6 last week was worth watching the whole game in the hot sun. Good defense and running the ball make me happy. The next is we MUST get to the qb or at least make him think we will.

It's entirely possible that they get it together soon and really roll the second half of the season. Heck, the way it's looking 9-7 might get you a wild card.
It's also entirely possible that they **** the bed and miss the playoffs again.

I hope you are not a teacher.

QB- B
Ben has been good but not great this year. I an grading him on a curve as I include him in the "elite" QB group.

RB- A-
Stupid flags are the knock here.

Oline- D+
Last year was a straight up F or Incomplete since they never showed up and played. So this is an improvement but I do see Beachum getting thrown back a bit and seems to be playing LT when he should be playing LG. LG I am not sure since Foster and Wallace has played but neither have impressed. Pouncey has played above average so I am happy with that. DeCastro is playing better but not up to the high pick we used on him. RT and Gilbert played a little better but is still not a starting RT in my opinion so the re-signing is just asinine to me.

Receivers- B
AB is on a whole nutha LEVEL. Wheaton has had his moments but also looked like a second year guy starting. Justin Brown had a good game last week but has not impressed before that so keep up the momentum. Moore caught a pass and should have been the target on a few third down plays since he was open but Ben forced the ball for an incomplete to Brown those plays. DHB has 1 catch 0 yards... Bryant is incomplete. So if it wasn't for Brown I'd give the unit an F.

TE- B
Miller is slowing up but still has great hands and finds the soft spots in the zone to get open.

DL- C-
McLendon has stepped up as of late and Heyward is playing much better but Thomas is getting thrown around and Keisel is showing his age. I have hope for Tuitt later this year.

OLB- D
Worilds I feel will suck until like end November or in December and end up with double digit sacks just to try to cash in. JJ has played better than last year still doesn't look like a double digit sack guy. Nothing is behind that.

ILB- C
Timmons has blown some play calling and Shazier who looked awesome in preseason came back to earth in the regular season.

CB- D
McCain had a nice pick and Allen made a few plays against a rookie so lets see if we can build off of that.

S- C
TP is getting too old to get the jon done and Mitchell has not done so much to make me forget the good old days with Ryan Clark.

K- B
Do we have the only PK who cannot kick thru the end zone?

P- C-
Yeah, average punting at best.

I got to say it is nice not hearing Gilberts name the last few weeks. Still room to improve but at least his play has gotten better, hope for more.

Brice Mccain made a great play, no doubt about it. I want to see more good play out of him before i will buy into his being the answer in our secondary.

Our run D has improved significantly.

Please. They faced the #32 and #31 ranked defenses the last two weeks against two lousy running backs who were only handed the ball 15 times (bucs) and 8 times (Jags) in the game.

Until the Steelers stop getting cute with the play calling, taking penalties in key situations, becoming more disciplined in their play, we're going to keep playing like we're in the same league as the Jaguars, Bucs, and Browns.
