Just got back from Charlotte, where the Steeler nation did themselves proud. Walking to the stadium, a lot of black and gold, I think Pantervillle had no clue what hit them. The stadium from top to bottom was Steeler Nation and the players took some looks to the crowd pointing at warm up time. Nothing was sweeter as the blue headed toward the gates and nothing but Steeler Fans staying till they turned the lights off. With all that is going on in the NFL and are team not where many of us would like them to be was nice to see the support of the fans. North Carolina fans could not understand when Mr. Rooney cam out in his golf cart and the fans went wild as the TV camera men ran across the field to put the cameras on him. I told the NC fan that is our Superman. It was great and Steelers showed it as they ran off the field. Great victory, some exciting runs and catches with a punt fumble TD to end it all.

Same thing happened in Detroit a couple years back. It is cool to see all those blue jerseys leaving the stadium at once. It looked like a river flowing uphill in Detroit.

Yeah, I was surprised we had such a great turnout. Goes to show Steeler Nation shows up in good and bad times. Same thing I witnessed back in the late 90s.

It was funny, we started doing the Here We Go chant, and a female Panthers fan in front of us started yelling "Stop it!" Carolina blasts too much noise on the PA between plays, it's sensory overload. Why not allow some quiet time where people can actually discuss the game?

Given enough beer, I would have started "discussing" her **** and what they would look like with my splooge on them .

Not surprised at the turnout, Steeler Nation travels like no other, and lives in large quantities all over the U.S.

Basically Steeler Nation is everywhere.............

I had heard from a friend, who said his friends cousin "Ronko" had strict orders from his boss's ex wife's husband's girlfriend's nephew, to not sell tickets to Steelers fans.
****, he did it anyways, with a smile...

Salute the nation

Steelers fans outside of Pittsburgh >>> Steelers fans in Pittsburgh.

I remember a post on a Redskins board. When Steelers came to DC, he said the score was so lopsided, at half time, it became a Steelers home game. Lmfao.

I wasn't surprised at all. There are a ton of Steelers fans here in North Cackalacky. I went to the game with my middle child and we got a hotel room for the night as I didn't feel like driving back to Garner for 2 1/2 hours in the middle of the night. As soon as pulled in to downtown Charlotte all you saw walking around was people with Steelers jerseys, and tshirts on. The section we sat in for the game was mostly Steeler fans with a fine sprinkling of Carolina fans. Most of the Panther fans were cool and joking around with us, only one drunk idiot in our section running his mouth, and he left after the special teams **** up, and we all said BYE.

Well done SN. Sounded like a home game on TV.

Might need to start calling it Pittsburgh Nation, Pirate fans are starting to follow suit. It looked like Pirate fans outnumbered
Braves fans at last nights game. In the 9th, the Lets Go Bucs chant was drowning out the Braves fans. Even the Atlanta
organist chimed in by playing the Let's Go Bucs tune. Hope he doesn't get fired.

Whole city of Pittsburgh traveled to the game. Couldnt believe it. smdh

I went to the game in Cincy last year.. they did the same thing

Hey, I was there too! And yes, the bengals are notorious for being overly-obnoxious with their P.A. antics/bad music. But we're talking about a team with '"jungle" motif in the stadium that looks like something you would see on the walls of a kindergarten classroom.

The turnout and participation on road games seems to be better than games at Heinz Field. Whenever I attend games in Pittsburgh, even if the game is still in doubt, Steelers fans start leaving midway through the third quarter. Is attending games in Pittsburgh just a "cool" thing to do? I know traffic sucks but if you're patient and wait about an hour you can zip right out of town. It's very annoying to see.

That's awesome, but Rooney is not my Superman.

Spoiled. I have been saying this for awhile. I'm always up trying to get everyone loud or to standup on third downs and its rough. I never leave my seat besides to piss or grab a beer and I try to run down on commercial breaks and can usually run back up without missing a play. I don't ever leave before the game is over. Not even in the worst defeats.

Half of Charlotte used to live here because they all work for USAirways and got transferred there when they mostly closed up shop in Pittsburgh.
You might think I'm kidding, but I'm not.

My mates and I had a fantastic time. I would guess that there were between 25-30,000 Steeler fan at the game. It was nice that the arsehole Panthers fans who'd been dishing out **** left with their tails between their legs after the special teams TD.

Charlotte is a really beautiful city too. Highly recommended. We spent most of the afternoon at BlackFinn's which was mainly full of Steeler fans too. Great trip.

Gotta give 'em props for their "theme" song though.

Good to hear ya had a nice time.

I've only been to one away game, and that was in 2011 at Indianapolis. Plenty of Steeler fans, but Colts fans were good. Game was close til the very end, so didn't really experience the Colts fans leaving early aspect.

I'm going to the game in Cincinnati in December, that should be fun. I've heard Bengal fans are ********, but Im not worried. I'm loud, but not arrogant.
