Make sure you post a little blurb of the story with your posts. You'll get more of a response

Tomlin said both Burnett and Dupree injuries were minor. Nothing to worry about.

Said that last year too then we find out Dupree and tuit were hurt all year with significant injuries that effected their play

Worry if they miss significant training camp time. Until then... we'll see.

If Jarvis Dupree was hurt and was say, 10% less effective, would we notice?

If Bud has a "lingering" shoulder injury from last year, that is a big deal. He probably should have had surgery to fix it. Now, it will nag him all f-ing year. Dumb ***!

Watch Dupree blow it up this year

Welcome ChampYINZ,

Do you speak Tomlinism?* Obviously anytime Tomlin says its minor or not newsworthy, he's talking coach speak and it means a bit more than that. He didn't say Bud will be back in practice with pads on soon.

I just hope if Dupree needs a procedure again. Dupree's past injury was mishandled by the Steelers. He should have had survey much sooner. This is Dupree's contract year. I'm not sure if I'd want the Steelers to give him 6+ million a year. He's not that good and is injury prone.

Is the result any different if a guy is injured vs if he is out of position?

I think Dupree can pick up one tackle on the stat sheet per week whether he's 75 or 100 percent.

There is a glimmer of hope since they let Uncle Jarvis walk. I'll only be pissed if they franchise Durpee or otherwise extend him for a big chunk of change.

Franchise Dupree? I doubt that, but I do fear they offer him a long deal for a cap draining amount of money.

I haven't checked but I think both Chickillo and Dupree are free agents next year, and we still have no real replacement for Shazier. Why the Steelers did not draft ANY linebackers, and spent 3 of our first 4 picks in the draft on offense still pisses me off.

I thought the same thing at first but then it hit me that maybe Tombert realized that they're good at drafting offense but fucktards when it comes to drafting defense, so maybe they're better off getting other teams' FA's (i.e. draft picks) for defense. Admitting mistakes has never been Tombert's long suit, as we know they will trot out a ****** but high draft pick for a long time hoping a switch goes on so they don't look like idiots, I'm just saying there's a chance they got woke.

Tomlin was a defensive coach.* Shouldn't he know*better?* For years the Steelers played the penny stocks at DB and it cost them. Now it seems they think they can run a good defense with a below average run defending nose tackle and nondescript middle linebackers. Didn't the last six games of the season teach them anything?!

# Soft and slow in the middle of our front seven.

I know you haven't checked, or you'd know Dupree's 5th year option has him under contract next year.

Dupree's shoulder was an issue all last year, and it's still an issue. This is a big deal until he stops having shoulder 'issues'.

His above-the-neck performance is below the line, globally speaking, if you will, obviously.

Another player who avoids surgery and will play at less than 100% for another year instead of simply going under the knife after the season and getting it fixed.
Durpee can't afford to play at less than 100% because he isn't that good to begin with.
