That is an ignorant and narrow-minded approach to take. If there were rights enumerated in the bill of rights that I disagreed with, I would never be ok with having them eroded in any way. Never. It is a slippery slope, because once they take one, what's to stop them from taking any of the others? And the worst part of this, is that the only people being punished are the law abiding citizens. First, how would a reasonable person define "high capacity"? I would define that as more than 30 rounds in a magazine since off-the-shelf magazines for a lot of rifles are 30 rounds. Second, the bill does not outlaw just "automatic weapons," you idiot. Nobody other than certain FFL license holders (that refers to firearm dealers) can own automatic weapons. The bill outlaws semiautomatic weapons, which have been in existence since the 19th century, or perhaps earlier.
