Hey guys... It's DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM!

If i walk about 100 yards from my front door, can't now 'cuz I'm on crutches, I can look down on that.

Awesome. Love my new home.

California just lost one of its last remaining crazy right-wingers.

In Arizona, I am considered a moderate.

I know it's Commiefornia, but there are still some great places in San Diego:

Going to enjoy it while it's still here and the communists haven't fully taken over.

Agreed. Incredible state - born and raised there. I was 7 years old in 1968 when our first grade teacher gave us an assignment - write a letter to a public official and get a response.

So my dad tells me to write the Governor, a guy named Ronald Reagan, and ask him if he was planning on running for President some day. I write the letter, explain I am 7 years old and have a class project, and ask him about his plans to run for President. I get a response within 4 days - letter states that the Governor is occupied with the business of the people of California, and that is keeping him busy, but he very much appreciated my inquiry. He thanked me for the letter.

The letter has Reagan's signature. Probably from a form or template of some type, but I have a letter from Ronald Reagan in 1968, talking about running for President some day. That's the California I grew up with and loved - before Teddy Kennedy changed the immigration laws, flooded California with millions of immigrants from Mexico, and sent California into its present tailspin.

Great story, very cool you got a response from Reagan.

- before Teddy Kennedy changed the immigration laws, flooded California with millions of immigrants from Mexico, and sent California into its present tailspin.

And then there's this. Tailspin is right. And now Gavin Newsom is on the prowl.

Back on topic, all of the nordic countries berniebots hold in high esteem do not practice his version of socialism... they are social democracies ... democrstic socialism is different... china practices democratic socialism and publicly states this... its just the PC version of straight communism... for stupid sheeple who cannot see past the terminology

Young people like socialism because all they know about it is lies. You will often hear them point to medicare as an example that USA is already somewhat socialist so just do more of that.

They don't know the difference between a government providing some basic services and the government having control of the economy. No more private businesses.

If the government ran everything then everything would be fair and free 'n stuff.

Medicare doesn't pay Doctors ****. They set prices and that's it. A Doctor has to accept medicare or not. If he chooses not, then he can't see any medicare patients. Unless that patient wants to pay out of pocket.

More and more doctors don't accept medicare anymore because the payments are just too low.

The socialists would cheer this. But as usual they don't bother to think of consequences. What happens when doctors can't make good money? People stop becoming doctors. The best and brightest will become lawyers or investment bankers and we'll end up with a bunch of B and C students doing surgeries.

Innovation will disappear too. Why bother researching new drugs or medical technologies when the government won't let you make a profit on it?

I grew up there. I remember before the Coronado Bridge was built. My dad taught at USD for most of his career. It was a great place about two million people ago. Now it's a crap hole.

I'm getting to my wits end right now DJ, my dad had to go to the hospital and it turns out he's suffering from "Negative Gram Bacteria Infection" that's now in his bloodstream and he's extremely sick and they're giving him strong antibiotics feverishly to try to keep this in check. And then I heard there's been a breakout of measles here in San Diego. I wonder where this is coming from?

You're right sir, it's definitely not like it was. Getting more and more fed up with this place.
