Initial Thoughts on eagle Game

Porter is overhyped, was overdrafted and is getting outplayed by everyone else in the secondary. Kinda like Najee but the defensive version.
He was born into football royalty and the money and lifestyle that comes with it. He's soft
Yeah, but he sure knows how to talk smack after he makes one good play on AJ Brown when the Steelers are down by 14 points late in the game. Scoreboard, guy.

That is such bullshlt. I knew that the Steelers' offense was going to be in trouble without Pickens, so I wasn't expecting them to win this game. That being said, as others have mentioned, Tomlin continues to make absolutely baffling in-game decisions. Borderline stupid, I'd venture to say.

Did you 'like" it when he didn't call a timeout right immediately after the Watt sack one play after the two-minute warning in the first half, before letting 25 seconds bleed off the clock, and then proceeded to use it anyway?

Did you "like" it when the guy inexplicably punted the ball away on a 4th-and-7 from the Eagles' 46 with only 10+ minutes left in the game, and the Steelers trailing by two touchdowns? Handing the ball back to an opponent who already had clearly been dominating time-of-possession?

I bet you liked it when MT came out wearing sunglasses for a 4:25 kickoff when the sun was already down, and kept them on until nearly the end of the first quarter, though. He is just so cool...don't have to think about that.

Told yinz before, im not a Tomlin Fan. But none of that mattered when our time of possession was the worst in 20 yrs in the league. Didnt matter when our offense had like 2 net yards in the 2nd quarter. Didnt matter when we arent throwing over the middle. And it didnt matter when both our lines got pushed all over the field.

I see the gaffs. But when push came to shove our team stunk where it mattered most.

Now that you got out your weekly Tomlin rant you feel good now?? It's gotten to the point he can't even wear shades now when he wants to according to you. How deep does this hatred go exactly??

Even after yesterday we rank 4th in time of possession so that hasn't been an ongoing issue I agree with everything else.

Right, but didn't you see the Eagles game coming? Honestly, didn't you?

It seemed like an easy call from miles away. That's the part I am frustrated with. We don't have C- grade players. We have good to darn good players. It's our scheme. It sucks beyond suck. We're easy to pick apart, anticipate, etc. Makes very good or better teams able to predict and dominate. It's old.

Tomlin even commented on the coaches being at fault himself included. He said so at half time. I also think the Eagles had something to prove throwing the ball and a very motivated AJ Brown. They are the hottest team in the game right now.

Just a good ole fashion butt whooping!

Amazing that they had a shot to tie in third quarter before 22 forgot how to catch a football .. and then again if refs would of called the biitcch slap correctly ..

BTW… big bro Cam won’t be happy watching the tape today..

Porter is to cocky for my taste, but is a damn good CB. He will only get better.
And najee is a good RB. He rarely fumbles. How many times has he fumbled in his career?

One thing to keep in mind is that the guy who was partially responsible for building both power-house line in Philadelphia, is now employed here in PITTSBURGH. You definitely can see the impact to this point but, can see plainly we are about a year, possibly two, from being real contenders. Our OL has grown massively and this draft will allow either other OL but most likely a DL stud.

Some here ask “where is all this hatred coming from”, I’m sure most don’t actually “hate” anyone. It’s the commonality of the same **** over and over and here good SIR, you have summoned up what that commonality is….. to a T

I believe he has had JUST 5 (includes yesterdays) fumbles his entire time here. NOT bad for 1,063 + this year’s count of attempts. What’s he got to date this year…. 230 / 240 ? 5 fumbles in approx. 1300 attempts not bad at all.

Keep in mind, I’m not sure of how many were lost.

PS. Jerome Bettis had an astonishingly good fumble rate. I’m pretty sure it’s way better than Najee’s.

RBs use to be judged on 1,000 yard seasons but, with the rules changes and softer NFL play, that is more looked at as 1,200 yard seasons (for the purist).

There's a commonality alright and it's coming from a specific fanbase...and it's clear they want to see him fail more so then succeed. That's why they pipe up and come out in droves after a loss but you don't see the same energy when they win.

Maybe. He has regressed this season.
I am not sure he has. He is still learning to play without getting flagged, but opponents have tape on him as well. Give another year to hone his craft. He has faced mostly the best the other team has to offer or second best all alone. Considering what he is asked to do I think he will be fine.

Porter is a penalty machine that can't catch, or cover. He's got alot of work to do. There is no analyst in the world that would rank him anywhere close to top 10.
Najee gets a pass in my eyes, fumbles happen and he has been unbelievably good protecting the football his whole career.
Steelers running game has been bottom of the league since he's been here. He isn't even as good as the guy he was drafted to replace.
He hit a new low sunday. Not expecting a 100 yd rushing game or even 4+ ypc, Dude couldn't even get a first down. Pathetic.
He has the occasional 100 yd game against 2 or 3 win teams but he disappoints every single big game against good teams. Justin Fields has nearly as many 100 yd games in 20 less games.
14 yards for an RB1 that played the entire game? Name another RB1 thats done that. ever.

Familiarity breeds contempt. It's almost like fans can predict the losses and dumb decisions that will happen. All I know is that 30 years ago only a few select WRs were known for "going over the middle." Guys like Michael Irvin and Sterling Sharpe. And later Hines Ward. Now, the NFL makes it easier than ever to use the MOF and we generally stay outside.

Can we fire somebody for that or something? Seems like malpractice.

Idiocy breeds more idiocy. We have grown men pretending they know more than insiders. We have people who don't even know what All22 is pretending they understand the intricacies of NFL coach decision-making.

And that's not even the bad part...grown men betching, whining, complaining like emotional ladyboys every time there is a team loss and heaping blame on the HC.

Sopping wet vaginas pretending they know what they're talking about. Constant nonsense after a loss and the SILENCE after a win. One of these dudes posted a racially charged piece about Tomlin that was from a decade ago. He then pretended he didn't realize it was so old.

You guys are pencil-dicked fairies with emotional issues.

It has wrecked this site the past decade. I don't know why the owner doesn't ban you guys and allow the population to flourish. I suggest you all STFU.

The team is in excellent shape and the coaching staff is above average. Unlike you. You're below average. You're losers. This isn't your living room. Save your bloody complaining for your husbands.

Would you care to break down the intricacies of deciding to punt on the Eagles 46 down 27-13 with 10 minutes left? Maybe you understand it better than the unwashed.

Time of possession sucked because the playcalling is woefully predictable. Offense had 2 net yards in the first quarter because the scripted plays early in the game are even more woefully predictable. They haven't been throwing over the middle for years now over several coordinators. They get pushed all over the field by physical teams when they have expensive pieces of the OL playing out of position and they continue to play 2 DL instead of 3 much of the time on defense.

What's the common denominator here? And why wouldn't the head coach be ultimately responsible for any and every one of your complaints?

Now that you got out your weekly Tomlin rant you feel good now??
No. I'm sick and tired of watching an experienced head coach continue to make stupid decisions, and I come here to vent about it. OK, dad?
It's gotten to the point he can't even wear shades now when he wants to according to you. How deep does this hatred go exactly??
It's amusing that even you refer to the guy as "Shades," yet you're complaining about me mentioning it. I'm sure you're too obtuse to see the irony there. By the way, do you wear your sunglasses at night too?
