Initial thoughts on the Bills game

A "feel good" video.
"There's something with this Steeler team"....Coach Dungy.
Damn right there is.!!!!

So they don't listen to outside noise according to Tomlin....but they had to make a change with Canada because they were all feeling "the crush of it" to where Canada couldn't even be himself according to Tomlin..so just another contradiction in a long line of them from Mikey.

There you go everyone, the fan outrage does get home.

Looks like we are getting the ugly weather game.

Temps around zero, hi winds and snow. Should be quite the game.

Coldest game I ever attended was the Pitt/Jets AFC Championship. Zero deg on the field. Don't think anyone in attendance sat down the whole game...

Also, of late, the Bengals have been the Bills kryptonite. Yet another body of work to study.

dolphins - 101

If we're going to say that the Steelers offense went up against some poor defenses during their win streak. Then we have to acknowledge that the Bills suddenly being able to stop the run the last 5 games has to something to do with the fact that they went up against the 19th, 25th and 26th ranked offenses in terms of yards per game during that stretch. Did they really improve? Or, did they benefit from playing some substandard rushing attacks in that span?

In a season with so many offensive struggles, ironically, this game is won or lost by the defense.
Heyward needs to step up and rally the troops. Its judgement day for guys like Cam, alex, JPJ, Minkah. These are big $$/ big hype guys who NEED to play their best games on sunday. Perfect opportunity for Heyward to wipe the stench away from the recent historically bad postseason performances, and guys like alex and JPJ to prove they are what people think they are.
Backs against the wall can they prove they aren't just a 1 and 10 defense without Watt?

As far as the weather, the site I'm looking at does not have snow in Sunday's forecast. Low 20's, partial sun early and again later in afternoon. The winds though could be up to 21 mph which will affect the wind chill, passing and field goals. Wind from the west, considering stadiums are usually built north to south (end zones), wide right and left in order. Throw it to the left hash if your receiver is on the right hash and vice versa lol.

Well then did our offense really get better or is it because we played the 30th and 31st ranked defenses in Cincy and Seattle and then Baltimore's JV team?

All I'm saying is I hear national people saying we're dangerous, we got something going here, etc. What's more impressive?
Winning 3 straight vs Cincy, Seattle, Baltimore's JV squad, or winning 5 straight including wins over Tua, Dak, and Mahomes?

OH, I understood what you were saying. My response was more to the idea that the Steelers should feel disadvantaged in the run game against the Buffalo defense. (or, at least that we fans should).

Yeah, even amid the optimism we're all trying to have, the fact the Steelers are 1-10 without Watt, while allowing almost a TD more per game, is pretty hard to overlook.

Especially considering the last time the Steelers went to Buffalo without him on the field, the Bills absolutely destroyed the Steelers defense.

I heard a rumor you were planning on painting flames on the BT50. Any truth?

There's already flames..................... out the pipes and on the sides of the frame, specialty cut engraved.

One of Lunar's girlfriends did the handi/swifty work.

Salute the nation

Lunar girlfriend is " handsy"? Good to know.

In fairness, beating Mahomes these days isn’t the feat it used to be. Easiest out in the playoffs this year IMHO.

I don't see why everyone is suddenly jumping on the bandwagon, like the Dungy video, there's something about this Steeler's tram, I hope he's right, but we've won 3 games in row vs Cincy(Browning), Seattle(Smith), Balt Jv(Huntley). The Bills had their backs against the wall and have won 5 straight and have beating Mahomes, Prescott, and Tua.
What bandwagon? I'm always on the Steelers bandwagon, win or lose. Playoffs or no playoffs.
Everyone is just happy that the Steelers have been given a shot.

But I understand your view. You won't let yourself get sucked in and then have to face being disappointed.
Everyone is different. For me, being a part of all this hype and optimism is entertaining and worth it..... even if it results in being disappointed in the end.

I'm not talking about fans, I'm talking about the media that makes it sound as if we walked on water. I'll be in front of the TV Sunday yelling and cheering like every other year.

The defense is going to give up yards probably in the neighborhood of 350 to 400, possibly more. Two things, hopefully, they can concede FGs rather that TDs and force the Bills to burn clock to score, no easy 4, 5 or 6 play drives for TDs. Rudolph also needs to take a sack rather than risk a turnover, a punt isn't going to be a bad play based on the weather forecast.

The Steelers on the other hand need to have time consuming drives, very few penalties to stay ahead of the sticks, get Pickens involved somehow, and rush the ball at least 40 times.

On special teams, no shanks in the punting game, handle all punts without issue and maybe get at least one decent return.

Conserve timeouts, use challenges wisely and take chances when given the opportunity

Some people should just ignore this game and focus on their mock drafts. We are going to Baltimore, ignore that game also

If Mason can continue his good play and deliver a win in Buffalo then he's going to make some real money next season.

Finally stop doing those Liberty Mutual commercials on tv.

"Liberty Biberty"

Based on our last three games this should be close. Snow game works perfectly for Pitt.
Based on our last 5 playoff games - it will be 28-0 Bills after 1 qtr.
If nothing else we have been breaking trends a lot this year some good some bad. Hopefully this a good breaking of a trend.

25 degrees, 23 MPH wind and show showers Sunday.

I'd pound the ball and let Josh Allen lose this game.
