I know there are a a lot of folks here who aren’t necessarily fans of Tomlin. Thought you might enjoy seeing what other fans have to say. This is the discussion taking place on the Raven’s forum right now. You could replace Harbaugh’s name with Tomlin and you’d think you were reading a thread from Steeler Nation. lol

Amazing how that is. People at work swear that Tomlin is one of the best HCs of all-time. It is what it is I guess.

fans get too caught up on the negatives....

all coaches have strengths and weaknesses

fans see their coach all the time and many don't watch other games with the same intensity so the times other coaches **** the bed do not stick with them as long or they over look them as one time issues

tomlin is not the greatest coach in the world, but he is far from the worst in the nfl

Harbaugh is in the same boat as Tomlin. During Tomlin’s playoff 0-for futility, Harbaugh is only 2-5. Prior to that, he was 10-5.

I live near Baltimore. listen to their fans all the time. almost to a fan, they would take Tomlin over Harbaugh.

They think Tomlin is extremely prepared. and that he gets more out of the players than anyone else. these are not my opinions

With my expectations and considering the talent he's been given since 2011, I'd make the argument.

Quoted for truth. NFL head coaches have too many hats to wear as is.. you arent going to be great at everything.. they also tend to be arrogant and stubborn. It leads to some bad or stupid moves... but all of em do it..

Harbaugh is worse at challenges than Tomlin, has a bunch of the same issues that people ***** about Tomlin having here..

The two fanbases would both probably vote overwhelmingly to swap coaches.. lol... then would ***** about their new guy as much as the old guy

I want more in the playoffs but I wouldn’t be the one to vote for a swap as I think Hairball is overrated.

They also think this....from that same forum, same thread.

I would not want either hairball as Steelers' coach

Harbaugh was in the AFCC game last year.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game since Barack Obama was still in office.
Harbaugh went seven years 2013-2019 seasons with one playoff win... missed the playoffs 4 times in that time...

Since winning the sb in 12, Har-blah is 3-6 in the playoffs with 5 years he missed altogether

^^^^^ truth ^^^^^

Same here, definitely he has fallen short on post-season play, but this may change very soon.

Also long term, Coach Tomlin might loosen the reigns on OC and actually hire a DC.

Hairball isn’t for me.

**** MT but. ……

I don't care if it makes rat fans feel better, but I think Harbaugh is every bit the dumb *** Tomlin is. More so, sometimes.

That's often our saving grace when we play them.

It's still more than Tomlin has accomplished over the past decade, especially taking the top seeds with Lamar into account.

I tend to think both may have overstayed their welcomes with their teams, which is reflected in the frustrations among their respective fanbases.

However, if forced to pick one for for one season, I'm taking Harbaugh over Tomlin, as his teams have at least shown they can get to the door step in recent years, while Tomlin's struggle to even get to the parking lot

I’ll take Coach T over Harbaugh 8 days a week
Wins the tiebreaker of way better pressers

But Reid built his sb teams.
The common denominator to most HC’s success stories is the franchise QB

Reid couldn’t in Philly-gets Mahomes now he is awesome

BB sucked his whole career- gets the Tommy Boy and he becomes the GOaT lmao

Mike was having success in Ben’s hey day

Very few getting it done with average-crap QBs in this league

A great QB will make an OK-good HC look brilliant and average QBs can make a good HC look pretty average-poor

As always it’s 90-95% about the players on the field making the plays
