Kenny

It's completely unfair and unrealistic to think KP or any QB we might have drafted would be in the same conversation as Big Ben. BB is the best Steelers QB ever (yes, I also watched TB play) and a 1st ballot HOFer. Ben should currently be considered in the top 10 or, at worst, top 15 QB's to have ever played the game.
Agreed for most part TDX....

But I also watched TB play...and I cant give Big Ben the nod over Terry...

Terry ----by far and away... was the better big game QB than Ben...

In fact---you could bet your bottom dollar....the bigger the game....number 12 was showing up...BIG TIME!

After all---that's how Terry Bradshaw got elected into the HOF...
It certainly wasn't his overall stats.

Terry wouldn't have blown it against the Stains in the playoffs... AT HOME nonetheless... or missed a wide-open Wallace in the Super Bowl.

No doubt Bradshaw has the rings, etc. but Bradshaw had a great supporting cast around him, including one of the best D's to ever play the game. He absolutely was great but I still give the nod to Ben. We were blessed to have two of the true greatest to ever play the position and to watch them play.

I am still holding out hope we get another that can bring us another two or three rings in my lifetime. Not sure yet if KP can do it but I can't give a true evaluation on that until Canaduh and the rest of the O coaches are replaced.

Let's be honest, the running game had a great 4th quarter.

Kenny was 7-7 for 138 yards in the 4th quarter. When a dude completes 100% of his passes for an average of 19.7 YPA, that is pretty good. Great actually.

To catch lightning in a bottle twice in a row like Green Bay is not a realistic expectation. If Kenny can turn into Marc Bulger he’s way above the curve.

Radio guy said Kenny's qb rating in 4th quarter is 102 or something.

The Steelers still have two more seasons to decide what he is. If it's still Tomlin and an OC similar to Canada it will be very difficult to say what that is. But Coach. I do know you are an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to use word Coach.

All the "Ben can do no wrong" types out there would be labeled homers too. Would you ltake them seriously?
You might be a homer if you consider Ben a top 5 QB.
Brady
Marino
Favre
Manning
Brees
Then we get into the Roethlisberger conversation imp. Top 5 no. Top 10 yes.

Probably need to watch that super bowl. Kemoeatu lost that game. He got thrown into Roethlisberger like the sack of 💩 guard he was and hit roethlisberger on that throw. 14 point swing.

Favre!? LOL Manning was a great regular season QB, playoffs he was a choke artist more often than not.

Are you counting this year? Because 5th year option has to be decided after the third season. That’s a big reason why I think the Steelers should give Pickett three years and all the snaps he can play. Because picking up that option is two more year commitment.

He struggles for 3 QTRS just like BB did under this offense, but has shown up huge when it counts...This season, Pickett has completed 73% of his passes, averaging 10.1 yards per attempt with a 102.8 passer rating during the fourth quarter of games. Clutch

I love this video.
He mentions every flaw and every embarrassing stat that's been talked about here, but believes the Steelers are a very good football team and a force to be reckoned with.

At 7:20 mentions Kenny Clutch with a 103 QB rating in the 4th qtr, and 5 come from behind wins. That's something to be excited about and to build on.

He makes a good point. Would you rather start hot and diminish, or start slow and get hot down the stretch, which is the way he believes the Steelers are heading.

Can't beat a top 14 QB well he plays defenses but Action Jackson and Stafford say hello.

Is his performance good enough ? No.

Will it be? We will see.

Hi cooch.

And he can't win a game where he isn't on the plus side in turnovers or beat a top 14 qb.

See point #1. And who says Stafford is a top 14 QB in 2023?

Nice video and I agree with the narrator...

Don't sleep on these Steelers!
I cant wait to see where they progress to for December football.

Very noticeable was the absence of 22 on any of the splash play clips in that video.

Saw 30.....but no 22...

Telling my friends.

Pickett beat Lamar Jackson.
Jackson is rated 7th in ESPN's ratings.
Jackson is rated 7th per CBS sports rankings.
Lamar Jackson has the 3rd highest passer rating in 2023.
Pickett beat Matthew Stafford.
Stafford is rated 14th in ESPN's ratings.
Stafford is rated 14th in CBS sports rankings.

How many other QB's in the NFL have beaten TWO of the top 14 QB's this season?

Green Bay was actually looking for the hat trick since they went Favre to Rodgers and then to Love (who is just awful).

And having consecutive really good QB's is not as uncommon as you suggest. Green Bay, Favre to Rodgers. San Diego went from Brees to Rivers. The Colts went from Johnny Unitas to Bert Jones, and later Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck with just 1 year in between. The 49ers went from Joe Montana to Steve Young. The Cowboys went from Don Meredith to Roger Staubach. The Eagles went from Norm Van Brocklin to Sonny Jurgensen. I found that information from memory plus about 5 minutes of searching.

Here’s the thing. You mentioned love being awful. He is doing about the same as Pickett. I don’t think you can pin down either for certain at this point. I would say neither are doing great. But neither are doing bad.

It’s funny you mention Brees. The Chargers gave up on him too soon. I disagree with the assessment of being the next guy because he was far from the hall of famer he is now and moreover was decided to move on from at 26. I would also say Craig Morten replaced Dandy Don and Steve Young was drafted by the Bucs not 49ers. But I agree with Luck taking over for Manning. But Luck was a generational QB. I don’t think I have ever seen a player that checked all the boxes like he did. But going back to Brees he probably was given up on too soon. He flashed a bit in San Diego. Had a 27 TD season. And even though 3 years isn’t a lot it is better than giving up on Pickett after a season or less. Like the Packers are probably going to do with Love. As we did with Rudolph. And if I look I’m sure I’ll find others. But do you think Kenny is more likely to be Brian Griese to John Elway or Aaron Rodgers to Brett Favre?

I watched Green Bay's opening game and Love was serviceable. He had two picks flat-out dropped by Chicago but he threw 3 TD passes. He also had 3 cheapo short TD passes in a loss against a mediocre Falcons team. Since then he has been terrible. Just awful. Terrible decisions, looks like he is some RB filling in at the position when the first 2 QB's are hurt.

Love and Kenny had one common opponent - both played the Raiders in LV. Kenny went 16-28, 235 yds, 2 TD's, 0 interceptions. Love went 16-30, 182 yds, 0 TD, 3 interceptions. Pickett is vastly better. The fact you believe they are equivalent is shocking to me.
