Kenny

Pickett can be great and win Super Bowls, but i don’t think he will ever be in the same stratosphere as Ben… that guy was special and we mostly wasted him

100% AGREE, He is going to have to be perfect to win a Super Bowl with this coaching regime, but anything is possible in America.!!!!

I know, as well as some here, BR7 was a talent that will be very hard to match If ever. Many here think guys like him come and go on a near every draft special.

Look how long Cowher went, HIGHLY talented teams, but until BEN came along, Bill came up short.

Then to watch and see the current HC flounder away the prime & golden years of Ben’s career was extremely sad. That last season this coaching staff showed no respect to the greatness of him or his career. They sent him out with out even an OL. Out of positions 3rd & 4th round rookies and crap blocking scheme. ADD in the joke of an offensive coordinator, along with the restriction of audibles until week 5. BEN showed his greatness by achieving what he did in spite of the joker coaching.

Back to Kenny Pickett, he will be hard pressed to get into the same conversation as Ben. Kenny can be good provided the Offensive scheme changes and becomes more NFL ready / caliber. I’ll be rooting for the guy all the way, just like I will for the coaching staff but also know the extent of what we have and accept it until they decide to change.

All the "Ben can do no wrong" types out there would be labeled homers too. Would you ltake them seriously?
You might be a homer if you consider Ben a top 5 QB.

Ben’s gottA be in that 8-12 all time ever QB in the NFL, might be able to argue a 7th.

The thing is it’s hard to argue across different ERAs of football since it has been around so long and all the rules changes.

The Steelers still have two more seasons to decide what he is. If it's still Tomlin and an OC similar to Canada it will be very difficult to say what that is. But Coach. I do know you are an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to use word Coach.

This Coaching staff if kept intact, will waste away those two years and other members of the teams careers.

Allow me to disagree

I fully agree with your disagreement. ONE thing is, Brady doesn’t even get on the list unless it’s a cheater’s list.

I don’t give a flying **** if he’s a good QB or not, he cheated and we will never know the honest Abe % or the cheating ****-er % so **** him and his ****-ing Bull-**** enema ***-hole breath.

And fans/media will always dump on Ben for off the field situations. But BigBen was number three in regards to 4th quarter come from behind wins. Three SB appearances two victories? Yeah nobody can convince me the guy isn't a top 5 QB of all time.

True but Kenny "Happy Feet" Pickett ain't Ben #7...
Nope definitely not. Still he can become a solid QB. Just as easy he can flame out.

One thing positive other than his late in the game ability is his work ethic. There is no doubt that he will be giving it his all moving forward. I can't crystal ball say that will catapult him to franchise status but I think it raises the floor to he probably won't flame out....

Hopefully he will continue working on those happy feet.

Maybe he just needs to go to his happy place.😁

a guy wearing #7 was called a game manger his first few years

he turned out alright
I forgot about that. I now remember Ben being labeled a game manager... by Steeler haters as well as some of our own fans. SB XL vs Seattle kinda made their case. Ben having the luxury of a good defense was their mantra.

**** you still have posters devaluing him. Same ones who knock Kenny but pump up Rudy the red nosed third stringer.

Let me try! LOL

I'd find it difficult to boot someone off and stick Ben amongst the top 5 in this guys list.
Ben aint even in the top 10 according to this guy.

I could put him in the top 10 though.
I'd boot Moon off.

Ben does make honorable mention tho.

This guy ****** up big time. Bradshaw didn't even make honorable mention.

KP
1254 yards 5/4
JL
1263 yards 10/7

Take off the rose colored glasses.

Do you actually watch NFL games? I am asking seriously. Love had 6 TD's his first two games that included two passes of less than 5 yards and a ball that ricocheted off Doubs and wound up being caught by Jayden Reed for a TD, against a terrible Bears defense and a bad Falcons defense. Since those first two games, he has thrown 4 TD's and 7 picks. His opponents in 2023 have been the Bears, Falcons, Saints, Lions, Raiders and Broncos. The only good defense he has faced is the Saints.

He put up 17 points, 180 yards and 5.8 YPA against the Broncos - the team that gave up 70 to the Dolphins.

If the dude played the 49ers, Ravens and Clowns, he would be obliterated. If only the two QB's had a common opponent at the same location we could compare ... oh, right, both played the Raiders in Las Vegas.

Pickett 16-28 235 yards 8.4 YPA 2 TD's 0 picks
Love 16-30 182 yards 6.1 YPA 0 TD's 3 picks

Wow, close call.

Kenny was 7-7 for 138 yards in the 4th quarter. When a dude completes 100% of his passes for an average of 19.7 YPA, that is pretty good. Great actually.

i mean yeah, Kenny did well in the 4th quarter no doubt.

But it was the running plays scored and broke the game open. That pass that Diontae hung on to (!), was a skinny-skinny-skinny slant lined up on man coverage, and so it amounted to Kenny Pickett three yard hand-off - and that said i will give Diontae his props as that play scampers all the way down there cause Diontae broke so clean away from his guy.

Wait, whaaaaat?!? The running game broke the game open? Da fuq?

Pickett's passing was the reason for 21 second half points and two drives covering 140 yards for 2 TD's in the 4th quarter. Again, he went 7-7 for 138 yards.

Mason Cole ******* stinks as a starting center and that’s hurting the OL but unfortunately we’re stuck with this guy this year but we better upgrade in the offseason.
Remember when Kenny had to throw behing Kendrick

i'll be that ******* IRL.

2-->13th Aaron Rodgers: Mr. Choke-Artist (lone SuperBowl win because Ryan Clark could not out-rebound Jordy Nelson in the 3rd quarter because by that time in NFL history it was ILLEGAL to hit a WR while he was trying to catch the ball)

5--->10th Dan Marino: Great quarterback, truly one of the best... in the regular season. Playoffs and other critical games where Marino could not rack-up chunks plays against soft coverages, he fell short.

6--->9th OLD MAN Drew Brees: At 22, Drew came into the league sporting the 38-year old withered veteran look. He was one of the best pure passers the game has ever seen. His defense let him down too often but he also choked very often and hard in many playoff games - similar fashion to Rodgers.

10--->12th Warren Moon: Warren Moon was Randall Cunningham before Randall Cunningham was Randall Cunningham. And Moon had an even more powerful of a cannon than Brees did. Powerful and uniques at getting out of trouble, Moon never completely command the offense, score points like other QBs as he could not drive down the field with makeable passes.

Big Ben is definitely No. 5 - in front of Steve Young.

Ill tell you this… in the last 2 minutes of the half and 4th quarter, there isn’t a single qb id take over Ben… Manning might be close, but most of his were low pressure comebacks…

Brady was a lot of meh comebacks… if you subtracted frfrom the record book ones where the qb either didn’t get a first down, or got like one first down already in field goal range, and they won on a field goal, id bet he would be like 5th all time in comebacks instead of first

Green Bay was actually looking for the hat trick since they went Favre to Rodgers and then to Love (who is just awful).

And having consecutive really good QB's is not as uncommon as you suggest. Green Bay, Favre to Rodgers. San Diego went from Brees to Rivers. The Colts went from Johnny Unitas to Bert Jones, and later Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck with just 1 year in between. The 49ers went from Joe Montana to Steve Young. The Cowboys went from Don Meredith to Roger Staubach. The Eagles went from Norm Van Brocklin to Sonny Jurgensen. I found that information from memory plus about 5 minutes of searching.
I agree but it is still very few and far between to hit on back-to-back QB's like that especially when you are picking from the middle of the pack or back half of the first round. It's very rare.

And you have the unknown count that was influenced by cheating.Good ol Rog made sure there was no evidence to view.
