I didn't see the game live but am watching the replays. The sack on Kenny with 5:40 left in the first quarter Chuks just let a guy run free to Kenny. He didn't try touching anyone - just moved to the middle of the line. Not the first time this year something like that has happened either. Wtf? It honestly seems like they aren't even trying sometimes.

agreed, and I'm seeing the same thing with other players at other positions. hey, actions always speak louder than words, it makes me honestly believe that even these players know that they're being led by a cadre of coaches whose strategies/philosophies just aren't up to snuff, so naturally, they only go 3/4 speed/effort, instead of 110%. In other words, they've no longer "bought in" to what the coaches have for them.

This so on tomlin Canada should have been fired after the “Ben‘s last year“ debacle! Ppl think they know football football ppl.. they don’t no ****!! And I mean nfl ppl! You block and you tackle! The game is won on the line! Over the ball! always has been always will be! We don’t block and we don’t tackle! There nothing about this team right now that says WPA! We won’t win with tomlin coaching thats just a fact! He could have saved themself and the team by hiring compliant coaches and coordinators… he refuses to bring in anyone that might take the spot light off of him! He’s an ego freak! I watch the team now in reruns cuz it’s 50/50 whether we win or lose who cares? I don’t if the Rooney’s don’t! We beat the browns Lose to the Texans if that ain’t Mike Tomlin I don’t know what is! I got a company to run and I’ll tell you what: if I ran it like tomlin runs the Steelers I’d been out of business a long time ago… I would have quit!!
Big changes my @ss. Tomlin won't change anything. Like what others have stated, they will change toilet paper, mood lighting in the locker room, change Gatorade flavors. That is all Tomlin is capable of.

Even great coaches like Noll, Landry, Cowher, Bill Walsh, Belicheat have a shelf life. Tomlin is not in that echelon. Saying he is terrible is stupid too. Look at his overall record. When the team surged last year I was behind him coaching this season. Enough is enough. Anyone thinking he couod lead this team to anything but mediocrity is joking themselves.

A cardboard cut out will be placed in the booth blocking views of Matt Canada .... as it is thought that the Pats are behind all the camera angles of him and they are sharing vital information with the rest of the league ...... how else can you explain other teams knowing which of our 3 plays we are going to run on any given Sunday
Lastly ... we are bringing back cheerleaders ........ put some good looking product on the sidelines to balance the ugly looking product on the field....

They have him in run defense because they can't stop the run. This last game 11 tackles, 7 SOLO.

I get that, but my point was that this scheme has taken him out of games................ for a while now. He isn't making those big plays that seemed normal for him.

Thats because they ask too much of the albs… because they have a really bad plan for the DLmen actually rushing instead of block eating … they aren’t really trying to stop the run… they want to stop the dink pass… and use the pass rush to kill deep stuff…

Well yeah because he's up on the line tackling running backs. You can kiss all of those ints goodbye.
Anyhow. This whole thing has run its course. The best they can do is middle of the pack.
We're the .500 Club! The defense could certainly be top 5 with the right DC. We don't have that. We have a guy who failed every team he coached at. The OC doesn't belong in the NFL and the HC shelf life has expired.
I just hope the hell I'm not sitting here bitching about this stuff 2-3 years from now. That 2008 superbowl trophy is collecting a lot of dust.
It doesn't matter who plays, our coaches can never seem to get the most out of them or to get them ready. That starts with Tomlin but we all know Canaduh has to go. His play calling is low-end college, at best, and not NFL.
Our OL sucks in its schemes coming from the coaches and in their execution. It is just a complete chit show. Our WR's do nothing to get open (we really miss DJ in that respect) and when they aren't the 1st option, they don't play hard. Pickens was jogging on one play I focused on where he wasn't going to be the target. They have to run every play like they are getting the ball and they have to block. Our starting CB's have sucked. There is no reason not to start JPJ and move Peterson around so his lack of speed isn't as on display. The ILB's are hit-and-miss. Our DL has been hit-and-miss. The entire front sucks in stopping the run even the part-time when Cam was in there. Him coming back in a few weeks or so isn't going to fix it. We had trouble stopping the run last year.

So once more… Stroud remains second to Pickett in off target throw percentage… he actually had more total bad throws than pickett coming into the game.. yet he has 2 300 yard games and has yet to throw a pick because they scheme for their decimated oline and lack of a run game ( until yesterday) extremely well…
If stroud were here… he would not be good… the pressure and lack of simplified throws would pretty much destroy every young QB… we should never draft another under Tomlin… just sign junk ones… he doesn’t want a high powered O anyway… why bother wasting assets on it?

To me in the NFL when toss works for anything more than window dressing you are in BIG trouble.
