I won't go into great detail about what this "article" says other than these little tidbits:

I have yet to see him get over-powered although he will on rare occasion get a little high off the snap. He’s also solid on the run and gets to the next level, looking for somebody to hit.

Next year the Steelers really should give him a chance to compete for the position they drafted him for.

Suffice it to say that the Op-Ed must be drinking ...... HEAVILY. I can't think of any scenario in which I would ever want to see Mike Adams at LT for the Steelers again.

I could see him at LT ..if we had a 21 pt lead ... were in Victory Formation and taking knees ... and Brad Wing was too injured to take that spot.

Randy laid on the ground like a slug. It was his only defense.

Depending on how things go next year we may see competition there again. Beachum was knocked square on his *** on one play that I saw, no not figuratively, completely. Should Kelvin get injured we likely will see Adams over there as he is the first back up at both spots. I have no animosity toward any of our tackles but all three of them need to improve a great deal. At this point I would consider any of the three subject to upgrade if one showed up in the draft that looked better. One reason there are so many two tight end sets is no matter who we have a tackle they need help on every play. When Heath can no longer move fast enough to get down the field 10 yards he could likely be an up grade at either tackle spot.

I'm guessing this guy forgets Adams at LT in 2013

My question is why even suppose the idea? BEachum is doing a good job.

Well, according to the "writer":

I love what Kelvin Beachum has done but he is constantly struggling, playing at the very limits of his talents. Rex Ryan burned us by exploiting Beachum and we’ve been lucky nobody has followed suit.

Again, I think the guy was drunk. Or watching games in Bizzaro World.

I read that Beachum's been rated in the top 10 of all NFL left tackles, top 5 in pass protection. I don't think we'll be seeing Adams there anytime soon, if ever.

Isn't Adams left-handed? If so, tLT would be his natural position. If Adams starts to play effectively and consistently at RT, it stands to reason he could play even better at LT.

This Adams kid, the writer speaks of, do we know him?????

Salute the nation

The writer should put down the crack pipe

he must have missed the several running plays in which he failed to even get a hand on the guy lined up RIGHT ACROSS from him against ATL.

Had to check my calendar to make sure it wasn't April Fools Day or something. Yeah this ain't gonna happen.

I have seen him get simply run over by a short ILB before. This guy is on meth. Adams is nothing more than a bad back up, period.

I think there is an argument for Adams over Gilbert though some have said that isn't really close either. But also Gilbert got paid, so there isn't really an argument in the long run. I personally feel the line has been better with Adams than Gilbert, but don't watch him closely enough to say he is better. No way he plays Left tackle unless you have a huge life insurance policy on Ben and want him dead.

The only issue with the assumption folks are making is these guys will not get better. One thing that has been said by several of these guys at different times is how much better their technique has become under the present ol coach. It seems that they are actually learning how to improve their game. Right now our tackles need help with edge rushers, all of our tackles. Beachum was knocked off his feet and flat on his *** at one point in a recent game, he looked like a jr high kid lined up against a high school varsity team. It is not only Beachum, but all of our tackles that need to develop and hopefully they do. From what I have seen they are putting in extra time to become better at their craft, I wish all of them luck and would like to see a big improvement next year for all of them.

I really do not understand your criticism of Beachum at all, especially since it seems to excessively revolve around one play.

I do not see him getting help as frequently as you claim he does. He needs to improve in the running game, but I think he does a really good job in the passing game
