I would have no problem taking Cam at 17. Love his instincts. I think he will turn into a solid pro.High floor. One of the safer prospects. Wouldn't be 1 or even 2 on my board, but wouldn't lose any sleep if he was selected.PFF once again, site thinks the draft is a B+.
27. Cam Smith CB South Carolina

136. Jaelyn Duncan OT Maryland
2024 4th round pick Cincinnati
2024 4th round pick Chicago
Unfolded not the way I had hoped. Looking to get Freeland with 3rd round pick, he goes at 79, so traded down and targeted Duncan. Get both Sewell and Duncan so there's that. Smith is the best of the "second tier." Good coverage, solid in man, very good in zone as he covers receivers rather than grass. Ika a monster who will stuff running games. Beebe and Duncan are going to be really good. Beebe is a starter early on at LG. Hyatt big, fast, very good hands. Hyatt, Pickens and Freiermuth are going to be a nightmare to defend. Van Pran mainly because I like the name. Also nab two 4th round picks 2024, giving team draft capital to move up if necessary.
No rb should ever go in the first 32 picks…. Total waste of value..Didn't want a RB but the value was hard to pass up.

Even in that scenario I would resign Cam. It takes time to get those corners up to snuff. Plus you can really never have enough good corners.Four likely starters/big-time contributors in the first four picks. Not one but two lockdown CB's. Add Gonzalez and Smith to Pierre and Wallace, re-signing Cam is a luxury. Beebe is a superb LG. He moves well enough to play LT for KState. Freeland a solid LT, but needs some work. He is mobile and pretty good in run blocking but struggles with speed rush. He is a skinnier, pale Dan Moore.
Latu is a born pass rusher. First game action in a couple years in 2022 and produced. Definitely big enough to play OLB.
