NFL Draft Lounge simulator, the one with the ridiculously bad trade offers. I changed the setting to "free for all" for trades. Yeah, of course I get an offer that would never, in a million years, be made in real life without a lot of front office people getting fired.

  • Ringo, Mazi, and Campbell make this one of the best defenses in the NFL. Harrison a legit NFL LT. Hampton an FCS edge rusher. Hey, worked with Highsmith, right? Rush - hope some Cam Smith rubbed off on him.
  • Oh, and the Titans 1st and 2nd round picks in 2024.
Love this draft! I could see that trade happening. those 4th round draft picks definitely worth a 1st and 2nd next year

Nice. Reports I read about Shrine Bowl practices indicate Stromberg is one of the best linemen there. Great leverage, regularly wins 1-on-1 battles.

32. Siaki Ika, DT, Baylor
49. Cody Mauch, T, North Dakota State
- really hope we get this guy. he's grown and developed from a lanky TE to a T - even if he flips inside for a 10+ year career.
80. Laiatu Latu, Edge, UCLA
120. Cooper Beebe, G, Kansas State
(best player available and shouldn't have slipped this far)
195. Dee Winters, LB, TCU - A little small and light, but I liked what I saw as far as hustle and attitude. Development prospect
236. Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB, UCLA - FO has shown interest, but could be just doing their homework.

throw around FA money at the secondary.

I love attacking the trenches this way. Is this the PFF mock? Beebe is returning to KSU yet they still have him listed.

That draft would make the Steelers one of the best teams in the NFL for the next several years. Jones is a legit NFL LT. Ika would team with Cam, Leal, and the OLB'ers to dominate the LOS. Mauch is going to be a very good OT for somebody and if he winds up at G, then he is a guy with the athleticism to handle LT in college now able to pull and block in space. Beebe is the best G in the draft. Latu an interesting guy - did not play a lot at UCLA, productive in 2022.

The other two guys are like nail polish on a beautiful porn star. Yeah, great, but not even necessary at this point.

meet your new offensive line.

25. Broderick Jones, T, Georgia - traded down with the Chargers, acquiring an extra pick (85); traded down again with Minnesota, getting another extra pick (87).
32. Will McDonald, Edge, Iowa State - traded down with the Giants, getting an extra pick (89)
49. John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota
80. DeMarvion Overshown, LB, Texas
85. Gervon Dexter, DT, Florida

89. Andrew Vorhees, G, USC

Did you put the mock on "Coach" setting? Try it - whoever you want is there at your pick.

Admittedly I know little to nothing about evaluating talent, unlike some here, but would Jack Campbell (Iowa) be a stretch at 49?

Bush will likely gone, so they will have to address a replacement.

No, he would not be a stretch. Campbell is big, fast enough, and is a very good run stopper. He is also underrated in zone so he is not going to be a complete waste of space when teams throw on 1st down.

I think he is an ideal candidate to try and counteract read-option. He is big enough to take on a guard and bring down the ball carrier, while instinctive enough to play zone when the QB keeps the ball and looks to pass over the middle. I was hoping he would be there at 80 but that may just not be the case. Couple of sites have him as a top-50 player.

I am definitely interested in how he tests out though.

Yeah, I admit I might be prone to overreaction but several reports from Senior Bowl practices indicate Torrence bends at his waist too much and reaches when blocking, has gained bad weight, and is really not very mobile. He is becoming the Jamaine Stephens of guards.

  • Ehh, don't love my own draft. The "problem" with grabbing an elite player who fells (Carter than Flowers) is that you wind up getting positions of need and with quality players available 17 & 32 (CB, LT) quite a few picks later. I like Duncan but if he goes before 49, the cupboard gets bare. Jones is going to be good I think but he is not a guy who is going to be elite like Gonzalez or Porter. Overshown is an interesting guy. My concern is that if teams see him at Mike, they run at him and he is run over. But he is quick, instinctive, really good at covering the middle.

Not an overreaction at all. I was following the reports he has been hot and cold. At 17 I want a prospect that is a a little less cold. Plus I am not sold on him being the pulling G we would desire at that point in the draft. Not saying he won't become a good G but there is some questions.

I have some questions on Duncan doughnuts. He gave up too many sacks and pressures at LT. And here is the thing he should have improved being his last season before the pros and well,

didn't. More I digged the less I liked. I really like Flowers at 32. He has grown on me through the whole process. Like Overshown too. Not too up on JJ yet.
