DRAFT 1
1.17 Jordan Addison, WR, USC
I'm making this move under the assumption the Steelers re-sign Sutton and retain Witherspoon and Wallace. With so much invested in the position, they'll wait until later in the draft to add depth.
2.32 Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee
Tons of experience and just a massive player. He has experience on both sides of the line and could possibly shift to guard if needed. The Steelers like players from the SEC.
2.47 Isaiah Foskey, EDGE, Notre Dame
We all saw what happened when Watt was out last season. A dependable third option could not only step in as a starter, but also allow the Steelers to rotate their pass rushers more to help keep them fresh throughout the season.
3.80 Keeanu Benton, IDL, Wisconsin
Big body for the middle of the defense. Strong run defender with some potential to improve as a pass rusher. Hard to peg where he will go with limited pass rushing ability.
4.120 Mike Morris, DL, Michigan
I've seen him ranked anywhere from a mid-second rounder to a day three player. Good size and length, I view him in the mold of a Heyward/Tuitt. Not exactly the same level of talent, but a player who can be developed into a good defensive lineman who can stop the run and get to the QB.
6.195 DJ Turner, CB, Michigan
Probably will be gone by this point, but if he's there his athleticism is too much to pass up. Production in college, he has potential to contribute in the NFL.
7.236 SirVocea Dennis, LB, Pitt
Good player at Pitt. He has limited upside at the NFL, but at worst should be good on special teams.
DRAFT 2
1.17 Peter Skoronski, LT, Northwestern
Day 1 starter at left tackle. Tons of experience playing in a tough conference. Dan Moore either becomes a backup or competes with Dotson for the LG position.
2.32 Trenton Simpson, LB, Clemson
Top LB in the draft, he can run and is built in the mold of a modern LB. Would fit in nicely with the Steelers rotation of LBs.
2.47 Keeanu Benton, IDL, Wisconsin
Same player as above, but a round earlier.
3.80 Dawand Jones, OT, Ohio State
I got the future left tackle in the first round Jones will be the future right tackle in the middle of the draft. It feels like with time, he could be absolutely dominant at the position and offer some cap savings with Okorafor.
4.120 Kyu Blu Kelly, CB, Stanford
After reading Tomlin coached his dad while in Tampa, it feels like a Steelers pick. It wouldn't be a Steelers draft without some sort of connection to the city or a family member.
6.195 Habakkuk Baldonado, EDGE, Pitt
Good size and had an excellent 2021 season. He wasn't as production this past season due to a variety of reasons, but worth a shot late in the draft.
7.236 Jalen Wayne, WR, South Alabama
He seemed to have a solid week at the Senior Bowl. He was the the best WR available at this point.
