NFL 2023 draft simulator

Pickett has fine receivers to work with. We can sign a 4th WR for cheap.
Kenny has Pickens who can be a #1, Dropsie Johnson, and realistic unknowns after.

Aside from those receivers, he has Muth.

And Najee.

Yes, you don’t believe Najee has good hands. I’m sure the Ravens defense disagrees.

I used the consensus big board that Slash put up on page 3, they update daily. Consistently can get the first 3 picks, the last 4 is what's there.

No trades

17. Anton Harrison, LT
32. Brian Branch, S
49. Jack Campbell, Mack
80. Tuli Tuipulotu, Edge, possible B gap
120. Kyu Blu Kelly, CB
234. Israel Abanikanda, RB, why not, he was there.
241. D. J. Johnson, Edge

You Najee haters are hilarious. Sure, we should have gone OL the last 2 years but as I've said and proven countless times, Najee was a beast running and receiving his rookie year behind the worst OL in the NFL and with probably the dumbest OC. Last year, he was injured with a lis franc injury and played with a steel plate in his shoe until after the bye. He was still playing behind the worst OL and still probably the dumbest OC. Sure, the OL improved as the year went on but that was partly because Najee was running possessed again. Warren is a good complement. He ran completely different plays most of the time. The OL still couldn't pass block and their numbers looked better than they were because KP was able to get out of trouble with his legs. I've said this countless times as well, if the OL plays above average, Najee will be a beast. And, why did it take Canaduh until the end of the year to start throwing to Najee when he had 75 catches as a rookie? Hmmmm....keep whining so I can keep laughing.

Who knows what will happen, but if the games I play with mocks are any indication, they have to pick a LT in the first or they don't get one any better than what they currently have.
Harrison may fall to 32, but I'd bet he is gone as well.
I have the same feeling and suspect it may be Darnell Wright at 17 or as Badcat just mentioned they're moving up.

If we were to trade up, are you for trading this years picks? I am not. I would rather trade future picks.

I’ve done several on mockdraftdatabase and none have Witherspoon dropping to us, but often Stroud available at 17 with no trade offers. Ridiculous.

With so little draft capital and so many needs, I hope they don't trade up, whether with this years pick or next.
I can see them trading back, (32 or 49) picking up extra spots and still drafting a solid player at a needed position.

I hope not… Wright is one of those cases where he was on everyone’s sleeper list and just kept creeping up boards. This guy had the typical high third round pick / second round pick grade… if they take him at 17, its going to be like Edwards or Hood… he is probably just going to be ok and people will hate that we passed on the other top end guys for a meh guy… he probably isn’t going to be the fail out of the league before his second contract type bust… but he probably doesn’t have the upside to warrant taking him at 17 in a deep draft…

As a Vols fan, I don’t recall Wright getting a lot of hype during the season. Additionally, he didn’t have to hold his blocks long in the Vols offense. So that has to be considered as well. I see he tested/graded out well, but so have quite a few other players. Game film is where I’d based my analysis on him, and like you said, he was a sleeper. Now he’s being talked to the first? Nah.

I wonder if LeVeon Bell is still available to trade for two firsts ?

I don’t think we have to “trade up” as a quality Special Teams ACE should still be available at 1.17

I'm hearing we may try to trade Daniels pre-draft/during the draft. That may pick us up an extra pick???
Trading daniels is just foolish right now… the main site has a perspective that I totally agree with… Daniels is a 25 year old who is established as a starter and who still has a lot of upside especially when you consider that it wa his first year in that system and technique and was playing with all new players beside him and a rookie signalcaller…

Daniels can play all three interior positions… Dotson is the guy to move. He is a low end starter at guard… someone will give something up for him

I am thinking the Steelers trade someone to get a 5th or 6th back. 120 to 234 is a long time t wait.

Is Van Ness the reincarnation of Aaron Smith? If so, sign me up. Smith was one of the most underrated Steelers of all time.

Wright is ranked high among some of the best draft analysts/prognosticators.
-No. 3 overall tackle - Mel Kiper
-12th overall selection - Lance Zierlein mock draft
-OT2 and No. 15 overall - Daniel Jeremiah
-19th overall selection - Walter Football mock draft

In addition, Jim Nagy said he's heard top-20 buzz for Wright. I'm not sure he's going to play LT in the NFL, but if the Steelers are looking for a big people mover at RT, I wouldn't be disappointed with Wright.

There won't be a tackle worth taking at 32, if you're looking for someone to start eventually in '23.
I’m looking for a start day one LT and if he is there at 1.17 and we pass,….. (CREED)……. Then that will be a

Traded back a good bit on one trade to get 6 picks in the top 100. Filled the holes but a lot will depend on our development here. But, the potential is there with all of the players. Some may take 2 to 3 years. Mafi in the 7th is huge and played on the DL at first. He's only been on the OL for 2 years and started this past year and was pretty darn good from what I've read. Could be a diamond there but he will take some NFL development.

I like Wright at right tackle...

Thoughts on Anton Harrison from Oklahoma? I read he is a true LT where there is some question if Wright can play the left side. I am thinking it may be possible that Harrison and Dawand Jones could be there at 32.

I read a metric ton of draft guides every year these days… so i can safely say virtually every year there is a guy who early on is a low to mid round sleeper on everyone’s list who keeps creeping up on lists until he gets into the first round and it just rarely works out…

Its a phenomenon that happens in the regular draft and in fantasy football too… you start doing mock drafts. The guys that go highest have the best metrics and production, a high ceiling and a low floor
But everyone falls in love with certain late round guys or certain mid round guys who there is a good reason to suspect they are going to be better than their original spot…
Sometimes that guy you were getting in the seventh because you think he probably has 3rd round value starts getting noticed and suddenly you cant always get him in the seventh so you start drafting him in the sixth… then the fifth, fourth and eventually he ends up in the third where he belongs… but sometimes the climb doesn’t stop there… people really want him. They convince themselves he is better than he is and he ends up going way higher than where he really belongs

Mike Mamula syndrome… guy was a popular sleeper back in 95, when online mock drafts were rather new. He was a low mid round type player… he has a great combine and suddenly he just starts inching up the draft boards until he was a consensus first…

Like I said before, this guy has the feeling of Edwards or hood… a guy that is going to be ok, but he probably won’t be what people want from middle of the first round picks… get him in the lower second round and people won’t mind him…
