Patriots release Antonio Brown

The league probably decided that they had to do something ala ray rice... too much bad pub in a short time... they gave the pats a heads up and they made this move.... if tge public outcry wasn’t there he would be a pat till the end with no punishment in sight

So Brown literally played one game for one NFL team and did nothing for another except use their facilities, eat their food, take up their coaching staff and others time and wasn’t paid a dime?
Sweet Jesus, when does this movie come out?

They didn't need him and he wasn't worth the headache.

Public threats to an accuser and posting photos of her family had to have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

BB probably told AB "Listen, it's this simple; you don't post to social media regarding anything involving your ****** up off-the-field life, and you can play. You don't do that, and you're gone."

...now watch this em effer get picked up by the Ravens.

Me thinks the league is going to drop a suspension on Brown and the Pats are cutting the cord ahead of time.

They always seem to know what’s going to happen ahead of time...

My worry is that the NFL can suspend a guy off a team and then count weeks unsigned as the suspension... the Pats cut him... he gets suspended for eight weeks, settles the lawsuit, and is back with the *’s by playoff time, healthy and rested...

I don't think that is how it works.

That's some next level paranoia there! lol!

:laugh::laugh: AB better be ready to pay these women a lot of $$$.

I hope they and the chef he stiffed take him to the cleaners.

No Super Bowl for you!

Vikings are thin behind their two WRs, Redskins don't mind taking chances. Two options. Bungles have Green constantly injured they could use a WR and it wouldn't be a shocker pickup there unless the new coach isn't interested in problem children.

Wish the mods would merge some of these same-topic threads, constantly an issue around here. /slips note into complaint box

Like everyone else, Conspiracy Wig is giddy with the news that Brown may be finally dealing with some consequences of his behavior.

Conspiracy Wig DOES want to point out, however that quite a few things seem a bit, shall we say, weird regarding how everything fell apart.

It seems very clear that Brown went WAY out of his way to ultimately get himself to the P*ts. Indeed, many were wondering at what point the collusion required to make all this happen began. Was Brown determined to engineer a P*ts signing before he ever started acting like an *** in Pittsburgh? Did he already have some semblance of an agreement between himself, his agent and the cheats organization to take a circuitous route to the team that was rebuffed in their trade attempt?

Or, did Brown set his sights on NE a bit later, perhaps AFTER signing with the Raiders and realizing the grass was not much greener over there. Was it then that he, Rosenslime and NE began to cook up a plan to get Brown released or in his own words "Freeeeeeeeeeee"?

Regardless, one can't help but notice, the Steelers traded Brown by sometime in March, I believe. Brown went to the Raiders and ultimately engineered his final release by early September. While the Steelers were hosed in their dealings with Brown, the Raiders were absolutely raped! (Too soon?)

Despite the fact that ALL these issues with alleged assault occurred several years ago, there hasn't been a peep about them. I can believe the Steelers do a decent job of in-house PR management, but these assault claims HAD to be out there, but were never aired publicly.

That is, until the Raiders got screwed. Then, within DAYS a first woman comes forward. A woman who's been sitting on her story for over a year, by the way. Then, on the heels of THAT accusation and visit with New York, a second woman comes out of the woodwork. She's been silent even longer.

True, perhaps the artist saw the allegations from the first woman who came forward and decided she-too needed to seek some justice. But the timing seems really really pointed and perhaps just a touch... vindictive?

Just sayin'. Anybody want to see if somebody in the Raider's organization has any contacts with either of those women? Asking for a friend.

I was thinking myself that he just screwed the Rooney's and the Davis family.

So.........AB looses pretty much everything. Raiders loose 2 draft picks and have to scramble to find a WR. Cheats cut a player and cant get him back, and have to deal with drama for a week. The NFL starts the season with more controversy at a time when many fans are ready to give up on them. Bills are wiping their brow with a sigh of relief. Steelers get 2 draft picks and get rid of a locker room cancer. Did I miss anything?

i have a hard time believing that harbaugh wants anything to do with this psychopath. no way he'd put up with it.

Yep, there's no way any semi winning organization is picking up this *** clown w/ all the baggage.

Yes, The Steelers are 0-2 and the Sky is Falling, people jumping off bridges, all the players suck, we gave up to much for Bush, shouldn't have gave up a #1 for Fitzpatrick. and Troys Head is still to big
