Penguins Acquire Center Maxim Lapierre from St. Louis in Exchange for Marcel Goc

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired center Maxim Lapierre from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for center Marcel Goc, it was announced tonight by general manager Jim Rutherford.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Lapierre has played 579 games in a 10-year NHL career with Montreal, Anaheim, Vancouver and St. Louis, recording 65 goals and 72 assists for 137 points with 570 penalty minutes.
Lapierre, 29, has two goals and seven assists for nine points in 45 games with the Blues this season.
The native of Saint-Leonard, Quebec was Montreal’s second-round pick (61st overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
The Penguins acquired Goc from Florida late in the 2013-14 season. He had two goals and six assists for eight points in 55 games over two seasons in Pittsburgh.
