Penguins *******!

Thankfully I didn't see the game but it sounds like Fluery is reverting back to his old self, among other things.

Am I aloud to panic yet? .

Until the injuries, everything was great. "You don't win The Cup in January" - If they play this way when healthy next month, then its time to panic.

As bad as it's been, the Pens are still only one point out of the division lead..

There needs to be some sort of shake-up on this team. I don't know what the answer is. I am sure the Johnston and Rutherford are trying to figure it out as we speak. Fleury can definitely make more saves, but ****, he isn't getting much help. Scoring goals at opportune times can change the complexion of the game, but we aren't getting any. There seems to be no team chemistry. The passing is sloppy. The PP is lacking.

I don't know what the change will be, but expect some big change soon.

Is it just me, or do the Pens have a ridiculous amount of injuries to good players every year?

its hard to have chemistry when everyday they are plugging and playing different guys. Skill / talent alone is not enough to win. I dont know what the answers are. Sid is definitely not himself. Not sure if his body is breaking down or just has an undisclosed injury. At this point I would like to see the pens go more to a more defensive style at least till they get more healthy.

I'd like to see that too, but they are not built for that type of play. Wish they were. At the beginning of the season they were loaded with scorers with a few agitators mixed in. Now a lot of the scorers are hurt and no one know how to play defense.

Injuries or not, this team is heading in the wrong direction. I've said it before, it's time to break up the band. Not enough return for the VERY expensive talent we've tried to hang on to. I'd keep either Malkin or Crosby, Matta and the rest of the team is expendable. Hell, Greiss might be worth hanging on to instead of an expensive Fluery.

the only way I'd trade for Jagr is to get rid of salary/dead weight. Anything more, I'm not interested in a 43-year old.

who cares how old he is - he's a rental, he can still play and we're not keeping him for 5 years - just a 5 month spurt

hockey players that can't score are a dime a hundred

eh, his age does kinda matter because he is very near the end. I envision another Jerome Iginla(sp?) type stay. Contributes little to nothing. Maybe I'm way off and he would be OK for a few months, but I've never been a Jagr fan. Sorry.

wonder who we trade? Beau?

On if the Canucks might explore trading Chris Higgins:

“Yeah, I don’t know that they’re willing to part with him, but would there be interest? Sure there would. Again, those depth forwards – guys that can move up and down your lineup are always valuable. Always valuable. Particularly a guy like Higgins, who has a wealth of experience to go along with that.

“I talked to Jim Rutherford with Pittsburgh yesterday He’s getting healthy now. Malkin’s good to go. It sounds like Ehrhoff and Comeau aren’t that far off. Probably next week. He’s made his deals in acquiring David Perron and Max Lapierre, but he’s still intrigued by the concept of adding another third-line player to play with Spaling and Sutter.

“Well, there’s not that many of those guys available, frankly. Daniel Winnik’s name from Toronto is always thrown out there. We’ve talked about Winnipeg already. So Higgins might check a few boxes, for sure.”

Trade Bennett would be interesting. He has so much potential, but he is hurt far too often. Now, he is sitting by Johnston, Kind of a head scratcher, but if he's on the market, it makes sense.

Rentals haven't worked out real well here for the most ....that and the Devils probably wanting a 2nd or conditional 1st makes me want to say no to Jagr.

Bennett is a huge talent. Maybe too soon to give up on him?

Is Beau sits on the bench again........they might be protecting him for a trade

Pens will be back in first place with a win tonight

Pens Inside Scoop - Steigy and Bibs are ready to call the action from a cramped hanging press box in Edmonton

Edmonton....

buy lights....you're in the freakin' NHL, show some respect.

Building block one set tonight................hopefully.

I missed the game but i saw a 2-0 shutout. I'll take it.

Would you trade Bennett, Kuntiz and Despres or Dumoulin for Evander Kane? That's the conservation on 93.7FM right now.

I would drive Bennett, Kunitz and Despres to the airport and pick-up Kane personally! Please, make this happen! I would purchase a Kane jersey the day the trade happens.

Kane is an *******. Has a problem about every other month with his teammates. Talented yes. But this team has enough problems, no sense adding another one.

don't rain on my little parade, Sarge. I was looking for someone to help me see the light of everything you mentioned about him. He needs to grow up, but he can score.

IF he wasn't dipshit I would be all in. Hell, a part of me thinks he acts up because he wants out of Winnipeg. It would be a risk for sure. But the reward could be great as well. He can score, plus he plays a really fast physical game. The Pens need a couple of guys like that.

But hell, if we are fantasizing about trading for Winnipeg Jets, I wouldn't mind adding Andrew Ladd.
