Penguins *******!

Possession of the puck in Detroit's zone and no Detroit goaltender....and the Pens can't score and then give up the game tying goal? This team is amazing in how it finds ways to choke.

the 2 goal lead is the worst lead in hockey according to Wendell Clark, former Maple Loaf Capitan, because "if they score, you're only up by one...."
 
That was like watching a movie that you've seen before and knew the ending as it was unfolding.
 
Always finding ways to lose. This has become common for them. They still need a good goalie. I've been saying it for 3 years now. Unless they learn how to play solid ******* defense and get some grit out front.

I'm gonna flay the flesh off this horse.......SOMEONE (other than the coach) has to take control of this team. SOMEONE has to grow up and be a leader. SOMEONE should have already called a team meeting of players only and launched. SOMEONE should be earning the "C." Because if SOMEONE doesn't we're going to see a repeat of recent years' failures. Presently I don't think we have anyone capable of that.

What would Gary Roberts do?

Having a 3-1 lead with 2:30 left, on the road in Detroit, is not my definition of reeling.

This team just flat out quits. This is not about the coach. This is about the boys in the room. Dumb mistakes, dumb plays, no emotion.

Not missing "dirt hair" Neal at all.

While I hate taking the foot off the gas offensively they did it perfectly last night. D and PK shined. Maf with an assist!
 
Last night was James Neal bobble head night. Kinda spoiled that.
 
James "disappear in the playoffs" Neal did ring one off the post.

First time this season that our boys played a full 60 minutes. Looked good.
 
Just saw matta going to have thyroid surgery to remove potentially cancerous tumor. That is pretty crazy and scary.

Penguins' Olli Maatta to undergo surgery for tumor; full recovery expected

He’s been cleared to continue playing until his surgery next week and head coach Mike Johnston said he expects to use the 20-year old defenseman in their three home games this week against New Jersey, Los Angeles and Buffalo.

after the surgery, Maatta will be able to return to the Penguins’ lineup in four weeks time.

After a slow start, that was a beatdown. Good gravy this team can score. Not much for defense, but they can score on anyone.
