Penguins *******!

Pens got a tad lucky with the goal being called off for goalie interference. If it was 3-2, the outcome could have been a lot different. Anyway, it was nice to see they didn't fold and maintained the lead on the road against a really good team.

Eh, if you watch the slo mo repeat, the guy did go out of his way to land on top of the goalie and made no attempt to get off of him, which is key in GTI. You can get pushed into the goalie but you must make an effort to miss him and not continue to interfere with him when you are in the crease... also the pens scored that empty netter pretty easily...even if they counted the other goal the chance it affects the outcome of the game is not very high.... you dont play that poorly for that long in a game and get the right to expect a win from one questionable call when the end score is 4-1

what is GTI? Some type of new Mustang?

I thought that could have gone either way. He got pushed into Greiss and laid on him, but the goal happened rather quickly after it. I'm happy with the outcome, of course. Everything changes though if they make it 3-2. We saw what DET did with that momentum and home crowd behind them. MIN was coming and having that goal waved off looked like it took the wind out of their sails. Overall, the Pens did play a really good game and deserved the two points. I'm not complaining, just playing the "what-if" angle.

Penguins Re-Sign Marc-Andre Fleury to a Four-Year Deal

The deal begins with the 2015-16 season and runs through the 2018-19 campaign, and has an average annual value of $5.75 million.

we speak and the FO listens. Kudos!

He is the Andy Dalton of goalies

I didn't think there was much that was questionable about the call. He had his stick across Greiss' back and had every opportunity to get up or let Greiss get up, but didn't for several seconds. You may think "the goal happened quickly after that" but goals do tend to happen rather quickly when someone is sitting on the goaltender while the puck bounces around near the front of the net.

He is a good goaltender but not the answer. He has made too many boneheaded decisions that have cost us dearly in the playoffs. I can't feel excited about this at all.

Or Romo, except the Flower has actually won something....

you quoted yourself? Nice. lol

If there are better options, I'd welcome them. What they got him for, it's a cap friendly deal and he took a little less to stay in Pittsburgh.

Disappointed in the MAF deal. For the love of god please stay in the NET! You're not Patrick Roy. Oh well it is what it is. Crossing my fingers.

I'm okay with the Flower deal. He has improved as of late, and we got him at a good price. Also, what other options did we have, that we could afford?

As a Canadian and a mostly Pens fan, I am greatly disappointed in his nutty squirrel routines that seem to happen most often at the worst time. Google him and World Junior Championship against Russia.....seem familiar?

Eh, I see this as a great middle of the road deal. MAF has played much better hockey over the past season. No need to go outside for an option in net, and it would be costly at that. Win for the Pens a win for MAF.

There really are no options out there........he's the man for the foreseeable future so I'll try to get behind him. But I hope the guy needs to be seeing a sports shrink as part of the deal. At least if he gets mental again they have a nice b/u.

Can't blame Fluery much for last years playoff exit. The rest of the team and coaches pretty much **** the bed that time. He does, however, still scare the **** out of me when he goes behind the net to handle the puck.

another win

Fleury did good and the secondary scoring saves the day

Pens PP goes 0-6, no scoring from any of the big names in regulation and Sid and Malkin score in the shootout win

Pens just went through the motions all night and still came away with the w. The Jets played waayy over their heads (imo) and lost. Bufyglien should have been ejected....he was head hunting. Kane lives up to his name sake in the fisticuffs department.

Seriously.. can we maybe chain one of his ankles to the post or something, to keep him from wandering too far out of the goal? Dude makes some of the WORST puck decisions when he's 30 feet away from the goal mouth.

Sid and Geno were non-existent last night. Glad to see the 3rd and 4th lines showed up. MAF played well. I would do almost anything to have Kane on our team. He can do it all. He's fast, can throw the fists and can score. Despres got manhandled by him. Very uneven match.

Flightless Birds embarrassing Sabres tonight 5-0 in 2nd. Even Bortsy scored.

Pens getting freight trained in New York.

NYC is not kind the Pittsburgh sports teams this week, Pens got wrecked by King Henry and Co. Got to pick it up on Friday against the Leafs and they get the Rangers again on Sat.
