weird game. Pens erupted for an 8-3 win against the Devils after NJ scored :09 in and then took a 3-1 lead. Jagr was basically a non-factor. The Pens' broadcast said he wants to play until he's 50. I didn't realize AARP has a team.
they may have to take the Steelers' approach. Score and score some more. Don't let up. If they have to score 5, 6 goals a game for the W, they have the guns to do it.
I was most happy to see them keep the foot on the gas....no let up, no mercy. The way every game should be played. Secondary scoring is very helpful.
Missed this one. Free Center Ice has ended. ;(

Shutout! 3-0 and MAF gets his 30th SO! Pens showing a little grit tonight against the Big & Bad Kings. Good to see they weren't backing down. Malkin even got into it. He had enough of getting knocked around.
enough of stringing Fleury along. Sign him to a new deal. He's not the perfect goalie, but he IS their best option for the immediate future. If they lose him by playing these games with him, I don't see a better option.
Pens just say no to the LAers last night. Good shutout for the Flower. Nice fisticuffs by Geno. Glad to see this team's attitude adjustment.
He was the anti Fleury last night.....looked completely cool and in control all night.
My son and I always text back and forth since we can't watch together anymore. He nailed it by saying "this is the kind of game that would've caused a Pen's meltdown a year ago." LA is pretty physical but they were absolutely out of control last night with the cheap ****. Never saw so many stick penalties. The game was very well called imo. But I'm still scratching my head over the release of the guy already in the penalty box (yes, it was the right call to reverse it). I've never seen that before. Hope it's not a sign of things to come...the "Goodelling" of the NHL.
What I'm afraid of is the refs calling this kind of **** all season, and then swallowing their whistles come playoff time.

Crosby, Malkin, Hornqvist and Kunitz all in the top 11 (top four really) in the NHL in scoring.
Good game......was afraid it'd be a let down game and the first period seemed that way a little bit. Nice win......you do not want to take penalties against this team. The top PP unit is virtually automatic right now.

Flower getting quality help from team mates, as well. Like Rod said, you don't want to take many penalties against this team. LA found that out the hard way.

Things are looking good,but it's not how you start it's how you end. I'm certainly enjoying the season.
