That's good news! We need them more than ever.

On a sad note, Coach Johnston's mother passed away yesterday. She was 81. He is still going to coach this weekend and then go home for the ceremony. RIP Mom Johnston.
 
Yes. that is sad. I like the guy. I hope he finds peace today. I also hope he figures things out by the postseason.
 
Tomorrow night, I take my 8 yo to his first Penguin game. I hope we have a huge breakout game.

PIT injury jinx continues. Kris Letang, hit by ARI's Shane Doan, was taken to hospital, expected to be kept overnight for evaluation.

 
The letang hit happened right in front.of us. It was a.cheap shot. Letang went.down hard. You could really hear him hit the boards.
 
I was out and about all day and missed the game. Glad to see Geno and Horny back. More importantly, better to see them win. Hopefully that momentum carries to the game tomorrow.

and the ref watched it happen. No penalty. His skates were taken out from under him. How do you not call that?
 
I don't think it was intentionally dirty but seemed like a really late hit to me and an awkward fall. He landed on his tailbone and his head snapped back and hit the boards. The puck was out at center ice when contact was made. Totally unnecessary and the worse possible result for Letang.


meanwhile, The Isles are falling apart even worse - Pens can take over the #2 spot tonight...it's on NBCsports tee-vee

They circled the wagons and everybody played hard. Great PK to get to the SO.
 
Maybe, just maybe, that is the signature game and win that turns up the volume for the rest of the season. The PK was superb. They needed that one. Bring on the Philthy Phlyers.

One of the loudest cheers at last night's game was when it was announced that the Flyers were officially eliminated from the playoffs. Great win last night. Could be their launching pad into the playoffs. Question is, what shape will our blue line be going into them. Our penalty situation needs to be fixed, as well.

we have so many concussions, it's scary. There's no timetable for Erhoff or Letang right now and our cap is screwing us. I don't ever remember having no money to bring up anyone from WBS.
 
Great PK great win. Actually think Sid is showing signs of more leadership on the ice. Wins in back to backs with 5 defensemen is pretty impressive.....even Lovejoy showed some spark. Don't the rules change for the PO's where they can dip into SWB?

It does, but not sure when that exactly takes place. Was hoping before the PO.
