I agree. Not sure why they brought back Simon and ZAR was never the same after his encounter with Tom Wilson, it will be interesting to see how he does with another teamI’m just glad Simon got moved. Couple others could have been moved. Better than standing pat.
I was hoping Kappy was traded.I’m just glad Simon got moved. Couple others could have been moved. Better than standing pat.
I think there was value until they gave up the pick. Thinking on it, I think the Pens over paid, but Rakell is far better than any of the players the Pens gave up.We'll see what happens but it seems like the Pens gave up two average players, a prospect, and a draft pick for another average player whose contract is up at the end of the year.
The Brassard trade was the exception, not the rule. That trade made a ton of sense. He was the leading scorer in the previous years' playoffs. Can't really tell what did and didn't happen there. Rakell is the Ducks' leading scorer, 3rd in assists, and 2nd for points for them. I feel good about this trade, which means nothing.I think there was value until they gave up the pick. My worry is that this turns out like the Brassard trade. That team was rolling. Made the move for Brassard and they were never the same. This team obviously isn’t that team, but chemistry matters and if the guy doesn’t fit, you just ****** your whole team up.
