Canes played last night..we didnt..

We should be able to take over rest of game....one would think?

We could have taken the last game, too. We really can beat these guys. I wish we had a better second gear.

Well....every contender needs a top-flight goalie for sure.

Pens mind set of making the pretty plays instead of the more conservative and safe forward puck movement is what hampers them....it leads more to odd man advantages for the opposition than a great scoring chance for us. This is really evident and frustrating to watch during our power-plays.
It also doesn't allow for controlling offensive zone possession time, which in my opinion gives you the best chance of putting the puck behind the opposing goalie.

Additionally---This is why Jarry's play is so important for us...This style of game really puts a ton of pressure on your goaltender.

Good game by him. The Canes doubled the shot output of the Pens.

Jarry played very solid yet again..

Although about half of their shots were by defensemen.
Pens did a nice job keeping the front of the net and slot area mostly clean
