A former NYPD detective says a woman punched him in the face in Nashville over the weekend because his hat looked like a MAGA cap.
Staten Island resident Daniel Sprague wrote on Facebook that he was celebrating his 50th birthday with friends and family at The Stage on Broadway on Friday when he was assaulted by a woman he didn’t know.
“A misguided soul possibly not alone, who I’m assuming was not very literate, spun me around, punch [sic] me in the face and grabbing [sic] my hat while she was yelling ‘how dare you’ leading me to think she thought it was a MAGA hat,” Sprague wrote on Facebook.
In reality, his cap was emblazoned with the words “Make Fifty Great Again” — although his shirt was decorated with an American flag that read “Making America Great Since 1970.”
The bar’s bouncers booted them both from the bar before he had a chance to call cops, but he filed a report the following day, he said.
“Suspect grabbed his hat from his head and punched him in the face,” according to the report filed with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
“He stated that when the suspect hit him in the face, he did not hit her back,” the report states.
Sprague wrote on Facebook that he was waiting to hear back from detectives.
He also instructed readers not to react to negative comments on the Facebook post, because it might be one of his friends “breaking my chops because we have a great relationship and sense of humor.”
“If it happens to be a fool or misguided snow flake’s comment, by arguing with them it will only encourage them to believe they know what they are talking about,” he wrote, promising to post updates on his case.

DUNNELLON — A 49-year-old Dunnellon man accused of threatening multiple people favorable to President Donald Trump, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of disorderly conduct by police.
On Thursday, Officer Megan Feliciani of the Dunnellon Police Department was called to the 11300 block of North Williams Street to investigate an armed man at a gathering where people were holding pro-Trump signs.
The victims told an officer that a man, later identified as James L. Whitehurst II, had approached them during their peaceful assembly with what was described as a cane sword in hand. The officer was told Whitehurst pointed the sword in their faces and made threatening statements.
The sword was allegedly 6 inches from their faces, according to the victims, and they felt afraid.
Feliciani spoke with Whitehurst, who told her he removed the sword from its holder and pointed it at the Trump supporters. He told the officer he meant no harm.
Whitehurst was arrested after and taken to the Marion County Jail.

It's reasons like the two cases above that Trump's support is under reported. People don't want to be hassled or threatened by these loons, but will show their support at the ballot box.

A video shows a woman announcing that she felt "uncomfortable" by the presence of white students at a new Multicultural Student Center on the campus of the University of Virginia.
The clip of the incident was shared Wednesday on social media by the Young America's Foundation, a conservative youth group.
"Public service announcement," the woman, who appears to be black, said as she paced in the center. "If y'all didn't know, this is the MSC, and, frankly, there's just too many white people in here, and this is a space for people of color, so, just be really cognizant of the space that you're taking up because it does make some of us POCs uncomfortable when we see too many white people in here."

"Hey, @UVa, this is what a 'multicultural center' causes. More race-based thinking and segregating. One of many reasons I have not contributed to UVa in 20 years (which of course means not on the most-favored list)," he said in a tweet on Wednesday.

The Washington Examiner has been unable to verify the identity of the woman seen in the video or if she has any affiliation with the university.
University of Virginia spokesman Brian Coy confirmed he is aware of the video before forwarding a statement that outlined the goals of the Multicultural Student Center.
"I believe deeply that we need to build a community that is not just diverse, but also inclusive," read part of the statement provided by Coy.
The Multicultural Student Center at UVA opened this week is intended as a "student-centered, collaborative space that supports underrepresented and marginalized communities, while cultivating the holistic empowerment of all students."

Liberal Groups and High-Powered Lawyers Swarm Detroit to Keep Dead Voters on Rolls
Liberal groups and high-powered New York attorneys swooped into Detroit this week to help the city fight a lawsuit over its voter roll irregularities, which included thousands of deceased individuals appearing on the rolls.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan and its Detroit chapter filed a motion to intervene on behalf of Detroit city clerk Janice Winfrey and Director of Elections George Azzouz. Winfrey and Azzouz were sued in December by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), an election integrity group. The officials had ignored PILF's requests to inspect Detroit's voter registrations after the group discovered thousands of ineligible voters on the city's rolls.
The Brennan Center for Justice, a progressive policy institute at New York University School of Law, will help the League fight PILF's lawsuit. Myrna Pérez, the center's director of voting rights and elections programs, and Eliza Sweren-Becker, counsel in the center's Democracy Program, signed on to the motion. New York-based attorneys from the Paul Weiss law firm, where former Obama attorney general Loretta Lynch is a partner, also joined the motion.
The liberal groups and attorneys are converging on Detroit as part of a broader campaign against alleged efforts to "purge" individuals from voter rolls. Democrats have built a massive network of nonprofit groups, funded by George Soros and other liberal donors, to oppose Republican-backed voting initiatives such as voter identification laws. Michigan is a significant target for such efforts given its "swing state" status; Trump won the state by just 10,000 votes in the 2016 election.
"The national 2020 elections will be held in less than nine months," the League states in its motion. "If a resolution of this matter—whether by court order or through a negotiated settlement—results in an aggressive purge and a heightened standard for voter list maintenance beyond reasonableness, the League may not have significant time to remedy the issue."
Logan Churchwell, communications director for PILF, said the groups still have to convince the court they belong in the room.
"This is yet more evidence of the left's deep investments to preserve faulty voter registration records and the questionable procedures at the root of the problem," Churchwell said.
PILF filed suit after discovering 2,500 deceased individuals among the city's rolls and 5,000 duplicate registrations. In a city where only 479,267 individuals are eligible to vote, PILF found 511,786 registered voters.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan did not respond to a request for comment. Robert Atkins, the top attorney from Paul Weiss listed on the motion, also did not respond.
Many of the attorneys working with the League have donated to Democratic presidential and Senate candidates this cycle. Atkins, co-chair of Paul Weiss's litigation department, has provided contributions ranging from $250 to $3,000 to the presidential campaigns of Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker.
Atkins also donated to the Senate campaigns of Cal Cunningham, running in North Carolina, and Theresa Greenfield, running in Iowa. The IA/NC Senate 2020 committee, a joint fundraising venture between Cunningham and Greenfield, is bankrolled by dozens of attorneys at the firm, including Atkins and Loretta Lynch. The committee has so far pushed $100,000 to each of the candidates. On Dec. 16, it disbursed $1,100 to Paul Weiss for catering and room rental.
Another attorney listed on the League's motion, William Michael, has also given thousands to Democratic presidential candidates including Biden and Amy Klobuchar. Employees at Paul Weiss provided more than $1 million to Democrats and $180,000 to Republicans so far this cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.
Democrats began their attempts to chip away at Republican voting initiatives prior to the 2016 election. After Trump's victory, however, they mobilized to build a more robust infrastructure.
Marc Elias, a top Democratic lawyer at the Washington, D.C., office of the Perkins Coie law firm, led efforts to combat voter identification laws during the 2016 cycle. Elias, who was Hillary Clinton's top campaign lawyer at the time, brought lawsuits forward in a number of states, including Virginia, Ohio, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. The campaign was heavily funded by George Soros, who expressed a goal of expanding the electorate by 10 million voters.
Following the 2016 election, Elias joined the board of Priorities USA to lead its nonprofit arm's efforts against state voting laws. Priorities USA additionally absorbed Every Citizen Counts, a nonprofit created by Clinton allies that focused on mobilizing Latino and African-American voters. The group began to zero in on voting issues.
A number of organizations carrying the same mission sprang up around that time. Let America Vote, a nonprofit established by former Democratic Missouri secretary of state Jason Kander, was one. It works with other liberal outfits and contains dozens of high-level operatives on its advisory board, including Elias, Stacey Abrams, and Guy Cecil, chairman of Priorities USA.

1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.
2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.
3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government That way you are able to create a police state.
5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.
6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.
7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people.
8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s ex-husband learned of her alleged affair with her chief fundraiser when he walked in on the two lounging around her apartment in pajamas — and the jilted hubby will be paid tens of thousands of dollars to stay silent, according to a report.
Ahmed Hirsi made the shocking discovery last spring, during a surprise visit to his then-wife’s Washington, DC apartment from Minnesota, where he was living with their three children, the Daily Mail reported.
“It’s wasn’t that he actually caught them in bed,” a source told the Mail of Hirsi walking in on Omar and her chief fundraiser Tim Mynett, who was also married at the time.
“But they were clearly in a romantic situation,” the source said of the pajama-clad lovers.
The cuckolded Hirsi’s family then joined with Omar’s family in reaching a financial settlement that bars him from speaking publicly about the breakup, the Mail reported, citing unnamed sources.
Hirsi had suspected Omar was cheating, “but she kept telling him he was paranoid,” and insisted he stay in Minnesota with the children, the source told the Mail. He was left “angry and humiliated” by the discovery, the source said.
He will now collect as much as $250,000 over six years if he keeps his mouth shut, the source told the Mail.
Omar, 37, and Mynett, 38, have declined to comment on their relationship, which was outed by Mynett’s then-wife, Dr. Beth Mynett, 55, in explosive divorce filings.
The now-divorced Mynett owns a campaign financing consultancy company, E Street Group, that has been on Omar’s campaign payroll since July 2018.
Omar’s campaign paid E Street $216,564 in the last three months of last year, according to the latest Federal Election Commission filings.
Requests for comment from the Post to Omar were not immediately returned.
