I don't think I need to post a link, I'm sure you all heard the rumors. Shades is supposedly telling others he may take 2024 off from coaching. My thoughts are:
1.) Is there truth to it?
2.) Where did these rumors come from? Is he telling others this?
3.) If he is, he's dumber than I thought. Why would he spread such rumors before a playoff game? Why on earth?
4.) If he is behind these rumors, he's merely throwing a hissy fit, angry because fans are finally speaking out against his buffoonery. Grow up. Deal with it.

FWIW, there was an article in the PPG today about it. Sounds like Tomlin is aware that he is out of favor with the fans and thinking of maybe taking the last year of his contract off and then being a FA coaching candidate in 2025 instead of trade bait in 2025.

If true, maybe the whole sitting Rudolph with Rudolph’s recent success is making him feel inferior on his high draft pick in Kenny at the moment.

Yea, I started the rumors for a "Look at me" thread, not because there are indeed rumors of this going around the league. Oh wait, no I didn't. You owe me an apology for making that allegation, you piece of &%$&@! They were just covering this on "Undisputed." I guess they made this up to for a "look at me" subject. No, I made the entire thing up for "attention." There aren't any substance to the rumors, all of it was made up by me, according to a certain a-- clown. The article in PPG must have also been made up by attention seekers as well.
But a question: If he is merely out of coaching in 2024, would that year not count in his contract and would his rights still not be owned by the Steelers in 2025? If he started this rumor, good luck in being perceived as a professional, Shades. Way to go, right before the playoffs. "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I need more love! Wait, I'm confused. On one hand, you have the mods asking us to hold back on listing links from other sites. OK, I'm trying to comply with those wishes. But now you're saying any assertions without a link are to be considered "look at me, whoring posts." All I did was bring up a legit topic being discussed all around the various media. And I listed 3 links to prove that AND since have seen coverage on various sports talk shows. And as far as my "hissy fit" description, I'm not sure what else you'd call Tomlin threatening to sit out would be. A "calm and professional" reaction?
SF81 doesn't want links to other Steeler fan sites or another site if the story already appears on this site. in other words, check the SN news feed before linking to another source.

1.) I was trying to follow the wishes of the mods with no links to other sites.
2.) I didn't hear the discussion on "Undisputed" until AFTER I made my initial post.
3.) I posted 3 links where the rumor was discussed afterward.
4.) My views of Tomlin are what they are, same as other posters. We all have our own opinions.
5.) IF Tomlin had given any indication that he "might" take 2024 "off" then I maintain it was a "hissy fit" move and a case of him throwing an unprofessional tantrum.
6.) IF Tomlin never did anything to create this story, then that speaks for itself. IF.
7.) Reporting on this rumor does not make me an "attention seeking *****" as claimed.
