Typically contracts are for a set length of time, not for a period of time. So if someone signed a 4 year contract and refused year 4, then they would still be obligated until honoring year 4, or a negotiated concession occurred.
Without actually examining his contract though, who knows for sure.

Ok so I posed a thread Monday about Shefter talking about Tomlin possibly taking a break in 24 and followed it up with Jay Steroid Boy Glazier saying the same thing.
So take it for for what it’s it’s worth.
Could be Tomlin using it for leverage to get a better contract from Art by having his cronies created some noise.
Then it could be just ******* click bait. Who knows!
I will say this though. If shades really wants to step away for a season then tell Art after our season ends. Don’t play games and string the organization along. Just say you want to walk away.

Tomlin, not having won a single playoff game the last six seasons, still makes more than Andy Reid, the guy who won the last Super Bowl. Shades is already the fifth-higest paid coach in the NFL at $12.5 million per annum.

How can this man feed his family on such a pittance? He's worth every penny!

Who knows. Tomlin's been here quite a while. There is a lot to like about him. And a lot of frustrating things about Tomlin.

But hey, if he did wanna leave, I would have no problem with Vrabel came in. And Josh Daniels followed as our OC. 😁👍

Yea, I started the rumors for a "Look at me" thread, not because there are indeed rumors of this going around the league. Oh wait, no I didn't. Yep, the NFL Insiders on the national level are always connected with the agents and the reports are never accidents. Agents want this information out there for different reasons, but often it's for negotiation purposes whether it is with the current team or a future team.
