2.) Where did these rumors come from? Is he telling others this?

4.) If he is behind these rumors, he's merely throwing a hissy fit, angry because fans are finally speaking out against his buffoonery. Grow up. Deal with it.

If there is ANY truth to this, it's from Shades himself, at the worst time, meaning he's even worst than I thought. Go throw a hissy fit somewhere else.

its his agent building a media narrative to increase Cool Shades value. Reasonable strategy, and has very few questioning the source, so it looks more legit.

This is just a well placed flow of negotiation tactics.

We saw this back when he took such umbrage at the Fox Sports pregame question about "the HC NFL players would most like to play fior.." He has always come across as thin skinned IMO.

Wow, is that bad. Why does Shades have to be so defensive and such a d--k? There is NO REASON for him to react all defensive and d--ckish like that. None. This really shows how low confidence he is to be all that defensive. This guy nails him.

No kidding, thin skinned? Skin like an infant to go along with his infant mindset.
 
I thought a bit more about this and the one thing different is Tomlin always signs an extension with two years remaining except this time.
I just think the timing is odd that there was no extension prior to this past season.
Maybe it was Tomlin who wanted to wait and see how he felt at seasons end. Very odd!

Apparently, Shades thinks Kenny's confidence is so fragile that it can't even take him being listed as "not the starter" even though every team in the NFL would not list him as the starter if he was not starting. Good ole Shades must think Kenny's ego couldn't take the brunt of such. So Shades has protected him from such and kept KP listed as the starter. What kind of Mickey Mouse crap is this term involved in here?

Or Shades was requesting some out-of-this-world salary and Art wanted to wait and see what was appropriate. For all the stink Shades is causing, he better hope the Steelers win on Sunday.

When we call him arrogant and people tell us he's the nicest guy in the world and everyone respects him...how can any serious person believe that? He's shown time and again that he's arrogant, overly confident in bad decisions he makes, defending those decisions when it has become crystal clear to even Stevie Wonder in a dark room with a blindfold on that it was the wrong move...but dude persists. Whether it's undersized kick returners, almost two decades of zone defense against Brady while Brady shredded that D year after year, or Matt Canada, he just buries his head in the sand and soldiers on. That is arrogance or stupidity, and I don't think he's a stupid man.

guys making up **** is not Tomlin's fault
 
Well when KP is the QB1 next year, we shall see who he might become. Next year will probably be his last shot at securing the starting job moving forward.

The only chance of KP not being QB1 is if Rudolph plays well and we win at least a couple of playoff games. Even then, they would still have to sign Rudolph.

I thin k Coach Tomlin and Art 2 have an agreement to take it year by year in meaning, extension(s) happening with one year to go, not two or three……………………….

It’s away for both to be less committed but still committed.
