Shocking, Ben likes the No huddle

Article is shocking who would have guessed.

Something is off in this particular quote............................
"Ben likes to make the calls with the balls in his hand and I think we can be good at it if we're all on the same page. We're getting a lot of good work in with it and I think we're only going to continue to." (Heath)

Yeah I saw that to. Which is different than the calls with the Bruce here as he did it with his dick in his hands.

5 WIDE *******!

It's the new NFL - just like I perdicted

more notes from practice - Tomlin busting the balls of rookie WR Bryant...

The Steel Mill

Tomlin really didn’t like what he saw out of rookie fourth-round pick Martavis Bryant during a receiving drill where he didn’t turn up the field quick enough after making the reception for the liking of Tomlin.

“Finish it 10,” Tomlin barked out to Bryant.

But Tomlin wasn’t done with the tough love after that.

Tomlin went on to really let Bryant know that’s not how they do things and pointed out a point of reference just in case.

“What you need to do is watch 84 and do what 84 does,” Tomlin said about fellow wide receiver Antonio Brown. “You would never see 84 doing that.”

We all may look back on the offseason signing of Lance Moore and call it brilliant. Moore has been tremendous through the first two weeks of OTAs, and he’s just learning the offense and just getting used to Ben Roethlisberger.
Wait until he knows what he’s doing.

I hate to put numbers on players in OTAs, but I will. From what I’ve seen from Moore, I wouldn’t be surprised with 60 catches for 850 yards and seven touchdowns.

* Mike Mitchell instantly makes the Steelers defense better. Now, I am not exactly breaking news here, but comparing the closing speed of Mitchell and Ryan Clark last year is night and day.

* With close to 90 players on the field at the same time, it’s hard to focus on one player. Usually one or two will jump out at you that get you to pay a little closer attention. Saying that, I have yet to notice Stephon Tuitt at all. Once again, I haven’t been looking for him, but he hasn’t done anything that made me notice, either. Maybe I’ll be closer attention on Thursday?

* Steve McLendon looks a lot leaner. Jason Worilds looks a lot thicker. Jarvis Jones looks the same. Lawrence Timmons looks like one of the best linebackers in the NFL.

* I still say wide receiver Justin Brown has a chance to be this year’s Derek Moye. Just keep him in mind.

* Saying that, linebacker Vic So’oto just may be pushing Chris Carter out of the door. Yet another battle to keep an eye on.

* Rookie cornerback Shaquille Richardson is a nice bump-and-run guy … well, from what I’ve seen. He’s no Terry Hawthorne, I’ll tell you that.

The passes are terrible in that video. Those guys looked like they were fielding punts instead of catching passes. How is someone supposed to "finish" something when they are out there catching ruptured ducks?. Small wonder the offense is such a poor performer, there will be no throws like that in a game. There is no timing, no nothing.

All sounding good, for the time of year it is. Get to REAL training camp, then lets hear whats being said. Still take this for my STEELERS fix!!!!

Salute the nation

I dont really get Vic So’oto. The kid is a absolute friggin monster but he just cant put it on the field. If you were just to look height/weight/strength then should be an amazing DE/OLB but I never saw it on the field, even in college. He was just a guy.

I guess he could be like Harrison - a late bloomer.

Is he one of those looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane types? Or maybe he is dumb as half a bag of rocks and can not read his opponents or react because he does not recognize what is happening around him in time to do something about it. There are lots of guys that just don't recognize things in time to react, we do not know their names because they do not last long enough for anyone to learn them. Guys like that will play in a simple scheme where they do the same thing all the time and unless the qb or ball carrier runs into them they get pressure instead of sacks or tackles.

I don't have his numbers but it was like 4.6/40, @265, and I think 30+ reps with 225. I dont remember his change of direction numbers being great but just the linear number are very strong. Anyway, it was pro day because I dont remember him at the combine. Probably did not get an invite because I think he only had decent numbers his senior year. Memory is fading.

'Em quarterbacks back when 'em Stillers was good called their own plays. Bradshaw, Hanratty, and Bobby Layne was the best an' nat. Fawk, Bobby Layne 'd drink Big Ben under the table. Called his own plays hung over off his *** an' go out to the bars in Oakland an' nat after the game for more. No way could Big Ben keep up with Bobby Layne. An' Heath Miller is pretty good but he don't have **** on Elbie Nickel. /yinzers
