Anybody seen the snap count totals from last nights game? I would like to see the number of snaps some of the young guys played, especially on defense.

Steelersdepot should have them up at some point:

Football Outsiders will have them up come Tuesday/Wednesday as well.

Steelers depot -

The Pittsburgh Steelers won their 2016 regular season opener Monday night over the Washington Redskins 38-16 and the snap counts from that game have now been compiled. While there aren’t many surprises included in them, there are a few totals worth pointing out.

For starters, second-year wide receiver Eli Rogers played a whopping 47 snaps Monday night in his NFL debut. This was nearly 70% of the 68 total offensive plays that were run in the game by the Steelers offense so it’s evident now how he’ll likely be used moving forward and likely even when Markus Wheaton returns to full health.

Young tight end Xavier Grimble managed to see the field some in the opener as he logged 16 snaps on offense. He didn’t, however, evidently play any on special teams.

Defensively for the Steelers in their 2016 regular season opener, it’s worth pointing out the snaps played by this years defensive draft picks. Cornerback Artie Burns played 9 snaps as part of the team’s dime package while safety Sean Davis, as expected, saw a lot of playing time and to the tune of 46 snaps. Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave played 13 total defensive snaps against the Redskins while rookie linebacker Tyler Matakevich was limited to only playing on special teams.

Curiously, linebacker L.J. Fort was initially the player who replaced starter Ryan Shazier when he left the game injured. He played 4 total snaps while fellow linebacker Vince Williams played a total of 7 defensive snaps.

I hope The Outlaw gets his cardio in because they played the crap out of him. 100% offensive and 44% special teams. I think Johnson or Grimble need to learn how to play some special teams if they want a hat on game day.

Wow, noticed a lot of 81 on offense, AND 44% of special teams. If he is going to play 100% on offense they should really find a replacement on STs for him.

Ford your dead on, I think Grimble needs to get STs down quick (or perhaps modify the roster and move someone into his spot that can ease the work load on the outlaw).

In the 2nd half, they had 3 TE's in the game on many occasions. Was pretty interesting to see them do that.

Just to mention, some of those special team snaps are Punt team and Kicking team for FGs and XPs. Miller played those too.

I though would like to take him off of the KO, KR and PR teams if he's on them.
