Steelers-Bills Postponed to Monday

Last year 47 people died in the blizzard. Let's see what would happen if you put 70,000 people in the middle of it. The resources will be stressed enough without dealing with that.
And yet the NFL tells the Miami fans: **** you.

Jack Lambert started a GoFundMe so he can send everyone some lingerie.
Yeah i thought this was football and not baseball.

Lightning no, but snow: yes.

Unless you are a small market football city like Miami, then **** you.

It’s a public safety thing - that’s understandable.

The league should move to a neutral site imo

Oh... My... God. 18" of snow! What are we going to do? How could we even survive - let alone play an NFL game at a stadium in this ****?

She has a duty to protect the citizens of New York. If she said screw it and let them play she would have been roasted for not caring about her constituents enough to move the game.

So she trolled the Steelers. Politicians never do that, or have bets or anything so she is obviously trying to give the Bills a leg up. Come on.
Let me have my fun hating on NY. They deserve it. Yinz are party poopers.

Flacco last 3 plays:

Pick 6
Pick 6
Sack for -13

We have our first Div team the Houston Texans

That’s the players and fans problem not mine. I don’t live in NY. Besides I have work on monday. I won’t even be able to watch to even care about the outcome. I’m not going to lose sleep over this

If the safety of fans is SO concerning to the league, play the game in an empty stadium, kind of like those games when Covid first came around. They just have to worry about a few hundred players, staff, & stadium personnel versus tens of thousands.
1) The game is played, maintaining the stellar integrity that the league strives for and ensures that NFL fans worldwide get their desired product, and
2) Public safety is ensured.

But what’s that?? Too many million$$ lost in revenue??

Where’s that Gilda Radner “never mind” meme…

There is no integrity lol. That’s why they shun fans away with needing to have membership subscriptions just to watch and become a haven for commercial ****** and hardcore advertising. The league is all about $$$.

Just not sure where this leads.
What games get canceled and what games don’t and for what reasons.
I thought football was played in any conditions. It’s part of the reason I like football.

Ahh they just showed that the Steelers lost the last four playoff games.

(On Peacock)

Wonderful reminder....

The postponement had nothing to do with playing football in a blizzard, it had to do with public safety concerns.

Devils advocate here... if it was about public safety and not on field performance, wouldt they have moved it to a neutral site rather than just after the third day of snow concludes?
The biggest difference between Sunday and monday is tge winds Monday arent supposed to be as bad.. it will be colder with a little more snow falling in the morning...

No. The Bills earned the home game and the home fans earned the ability to attend the game, particularly when Monday was an option. If there was going to be 6 feet of snow and the city was going to be buried for a few days, then yes, move the game.

Considering they're asking for people to come shovel tomorrow, I'm guessing the forecast already changed and they aren't getting the 36 inches anymore.

Actually at the top of a hill with a single lane shale road that went into a valley like ravine, then through about 500 acres or corn fields or wheat, depending on the year.

What sucked *** is when we first moved to my grandfather's farm, we didn't have a jeep with a snow plow. So that meant parking 1/2 mile from the house and walking through however high the snow would drift over the road which would end up being 3-6 feet at times.

Took the groceries back to the house on a toboggan sled. It immensely sucked ***. The walking to the school bus stop by myself through that **** in pitch black darkness sucked too.

Now I'm a spoiled Florida cupcake..lol
My mom used to go on and on about walking 5 Km’s every day to school in all sorts of weather. Us 4 kids just rolled our eyes. Then one day I went to where she grew up in Europe. They had a farm in between two villages. There were dirt paths through the forest connecting the villages. I walked it a few times when I went there. I saw pictures of them trudging up the hills in snow dragging toboggans with their siblings in tow. School bus? Yeah right. Drive your kid to work ? Yeah right. If anything she way undersold it.
Mad respect for that generation.

I'm unhappy with the decision but it's probably because no one wants to risk being blamed if some fans meet with tragedy from the storm.
After all, they've been pimping the storm for a while and if it's as bad as they say it can be, they don't want the liability of putting on the game and risking the lives of fans and emergency workers.
In any event, come Monday we'll see if it was a good decision or not, weather-wise, and find something else to argue about.

Society has luxuries we take for granted now. As much as we say to toughen up etc. The current generation doesn’t deal with it
