Steelers -Eagles game thread.

And I'll counter by saying that if you're going to have a losing season, let the kid get experience. Then use that top 10 draft position to improve the big uglies.
His confidence is going to be **** after this year

And again, focusing on the positive!

"Ryan Leaf had a passer rating of 39.0 with 1,289 yards, 2 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 10 games in his rookie season in 1998."

So you're saying they should have set Kenny for a season and just stuck with Trubisky?
I think it wouldn't matter so we might as well let Pickett get experience.

That's my concern, honestly.

While we're probably going to see Mike Tomlin finally exposed for being the s*** coach he is, it's going to ruin pick it in the process.

Let's look on the bright side of things here.

At least no one is still talking about how "Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season" anymore!!

I choose to focus on the positives. Team is learning. They're young and they'll improve over time. And secondly, they didn't cut away from the game this week to go to a more competitive contest! That's obviously progress.
When there is positives sure. But when changes need to be made and we know none of them will get made. That is really discouraging. Lot of bad decision making, too much for me to think this team will get much better. Well without that change.

If it is, he's fragile minded anyway. There have been other QBs to have ****** rookie years and go on to have great careers.
Maybe. But doesn’t do any good putting an unprepared QB in to get demolished

Sure. Be nice if he stopped overthrowing the middle of the field.

Maybe this is why they don't throw to the middle very much. He tosses up way too many easy picks.
I hate that KP wears a glove on his throwing hand. I know Ben did as well, but it would just seem that you could not have as good a feel for the ball with a glove. And Kenny does throw some high passes. Its like they get away from him. But I guess he did it in college and almost won the Heisman. I just have never liked the glove on the throwing hand unless its like on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field or something. LOL

I think this team has 2 more wins with good effort.

had not thought of it like that as far as the OLine goes. Man, we used to have some studs. Now we are happy if we can get a 4 yard run.

I remember Mason playing and no, he didnt do great, but he never got to play unless Ben was hurt. I guess I just never felt Mason got a fair shot. Bringing in Trubisky was a waste of money. Mason could have started the season and turned it over to Kenny when Shades was ready to make the change. Not sure what Shades saw in Trubisky that made him better than Mason. Honestly, I think Mason is better now than Trubisky but he cannot get on the field. Didnt say he was better than Pickett when you consider all the valuable experience Kenny is getting this season. They should have just started the season with Mason and transitioned whenever it was time to transition to KP
Mason got the starting nod in 2019 when Ben went down, then proceeded to go on a check down pass tour like the NFL has never seen. Eventually being replaced by Duck Hodges....Duck Hodges...a guy who had no business in the NFL. He is less mobile than the other QBs we have and behind this O-line it would be insane to play him. If you are going to pull Pickett go back to Mitch.

How quickly folks jumped off the Kenny Pickett bandwagon. 🤣🤣🤣

How many teams would trade for Kenny Pickett today???

Think about it.
Berm until the HC is changed it won't matter what QB is under center. Nobody is playing good. That is coaching.

Now everyone will be wondering if Canada gets booted next week. If there was ever a time to do it it’s now.
Who was Kenny's OC at Pitt??? He should be at the facility when the team gets back tonight - I'd leave Canada right there in the booth in Philly...
