Steelers interested in Finley...

Interesting, his doctor is also the team's doctor, and he has had some serious injuries. The guy could be something or nothing, but when you are a proven 8-8 team you have to look at these things.

Uh...if Finley is healthy, and our Neurosurgeon says he is, then he would be a nice addition. I know the Pats just had him in to visit.

I hear he has a 10 million insurance policy if he never plays again, so that may factor into his decision.

Heath is getting older and it would be nice to have a "move" TE that we can pair with Heath.

if he were 100% healthy, the ***s would have inked him by now.

The health is def an issue. Healthy he would get a big contract. Worth the risk IMHO.

What's he worth coming off that injury? 3-4mil/yr?

The Steelers' team doctor performed Finley's neck surgery and recently cleared him for football

sure, why not - we need somebody besides Heath that can make plays

Would we cut Spaeth? Not sure we need Spaeth, Health, Finley, Blanchflower?

Are we actually interested in him or is it just that the Steelers doctor happened to perform the surgery on him? I don't see a fit for us given that he can get a $10 million check if he never plays again...would he really sign for the vet minimum?

We're sitting on $8.5 million in cap room.

God forbid we save that for a rainy day or re-signing C. Allen. Wouldn't surprise me at all we spend a good chunk of that on Finley.

We will prob extend Cortez and Pouncey.

pretty sure we showed some interest in Finley earlier in the FA process as well.

currently have nobody behind pouncy.. BUT i DO know that Fernando Valasquez was golfing yesterday... so theres that.

They have nobody behind half this team. Nobody behind Miller, Foster, DeCastro, the entire DL, Cbs, etc... But I don't suggest signing all the starters to huge contracts just because they have no one behind them.

There have been ZERO authentic reports that Finley visited w the Steelers at all. He met with Dr. Maroon...who happens to be the guy who performed the original surgery AND is the official team neurosurgeon. Maroon cleared him to resume play and if the Steelers become interested, IMO, so will everyone else because it will mean that Maroon thinks he is not much of a risk for future injury.

I hope this is a made up story. He has zero work ethic and has always been a huge disappointment because of his lack of concentration and hands that rival Ike's.

Another case of Ian Rappalair stretching something into a story. He visited his doctor, not the steelers!
