Thinking it's time to purge some players for draft pics. If teams are offering picks, guys like Rudolph and Claypuff should be moved.
I think we stay with Pickett. I also think we have a lot of growing pains with him. Likely top 10 pick. Maybe top 5.LOL...I would think we see Trubisky if anything. Kenny made a lot of good throws, this is just part of the process we all knew he was going to go through. It sucks , but it will get better.
And dropped more passes than “Drops” Johnson. Any one of those picks being made could have changed the game. The D held the Dolphins to 16 points.
The DB’s need to catch. Left some turnovers/momentum off the table. It would also help to have a decent D and DB’s that can catch
I wouldn't completely discount the four dropped interceptions. This game is on Pickett. 2 costly turnovers at the end.
Right. People wanted him because they said he needed to get the experience. Well that’s what he’s getting. Now they want to sit him. smhLOL...I would think we see Trubisky if anything. Kenny made a lot of good throws, this is just part of the process we all knew he was going to go through. It sucks , but it will get better.
Those 3 are not on the same page…”obviously”There are a lot of miscues with Pickett and DJ & Claypool.
yeah they will stick with pickett and he will keep making mistakesI think we stay with Pickett. I also think we have a lot of growing pains with him. Likely top 10 pick. Maybe top 5.
Pickett isn’t the answer either… 2TDs and 7 INTs so far.
Steelers better rethink their draft choices
Pickett not throwing 2 horrific pics could have changed the game tooAnd dropped more passes than “Drops” Johnson. Any one of those picks being made could have changed the game.
Sort of. Technically it was 19 but their coach made a dumb decision. The D held the Dolphins to 16 points.
being thrown in midgame is not an excuse for tonightPickett's a rookie who got thrown in midseason midgame. He will be good. Our playbook needs a complete overhaul.
Yes, both can be true at the same time.Pickett not throwing 2 horrific pics could have changed the game too
No, he started and practiced as such this game.Pickett's a rookie who got thrown in midseason midgame. He will be good. Our playbook needs a complete overhaul.
I thought the same thing, but it was fucjing ugly either way. No reason to go to the end zone at THAT moment. Especially when you had two great drives going, and showed you can move the ball on them. The pick on the drive before I can’t fault him on. Dude engineered a great drive, picked up a huge first down on a third and short, and was failed by two skill players going in motion at the same time (few plays AFTER he had to stop two of them so they didn’t get the penalty), and then your left tackle being unable to block a ******* ancient mummy without holding him. So, it goes from momentum being firmly in our grasp, to being way behind the ******* sticks because your offense had mental lapses with the fucjing game on the line. So, he overreaches, and forces a throw. That one I can’t fault him much. They were behind the ball already because the mistakes made previously. Which is, 10000000%, and indictment on your coaching staff. That may have been on DJ. Pickett was expecting him to go back shoulder but DJ went the other way. I lost count of how many times i saw Ben make that same "what the hell are you doing" look at DJ.
We get it, you do not like KP. He is a rookie, with a ****** OC and a questionable HC.yeah they will stick with pickett and he will keep making mistakes
hopefully though he can quit costing the steelers wins
two drives both killed by ****** passes that a good qb would not have done
He's a rookie QB on a $hitty team.Pickett's a rookie who got thrown in midseason midgame. He will be good. Our playbook needs a complete overhaul.
He's an NFL caliber QB (We hope). He'll be in more of these type of games in the future if he has a long career. What we can hope is that he goes back, looks at his film, figures a few things out that he did wrong and learns/progresses. But, if he "shouldn't be in these games", then he shouldn't be playing. He made plenty of great plays. The offense smells like ***. He shouldn't be in these games. Hopefully he doesn't get over whelmed and they get competent people to help him next year. But that doesn't seem likely. This is a mess.
Yes. They were what kept us in the game when at the outset it looked like it was going to be a rout.Aside from the first drive the defense was admirable.
