You serious? Causal models must control for variables, there are many differences between the Sweden and the U.S. that confound any comparison of the two.

Don't compare stats with Sweden now. Give everyone else a chance to come out of lockdown with seriously impaired immune systems and then compare. It will be a lot more than Coronavirus with the rest of the world.

I didn't compare Sweden to the US. YOU just did. YOU challenged comparing Sweden to the Nordic countries. I provided evidence comparing Sweden to the GLOBE.

I don't disagree but we don't do ourselves any favors when we delve into the the realm of theses ridiculous conspiracies. We end up looking just as ******* crazy as the left wing nuts making up bullshit about Trump. The crazy *** **** from both sides drives me nuts. I am not saying there are not real conspiracies going on but come on man, as crazy Joe would say.

Fine. You can’t compare Sweden to all non-Nordic countries that shut down to mitigate the threat of the virus, the US being one of them and the THEE ONLY relevant one to us.

I read that 33.5 million applications for unemployment have been filed in the past 7 weeks.

Read that again. That's 1 in 5 of all people in the U.S. workforce.

With opinions all over the spectrum, and the facts changing on an almost daily basis, the truth won't be known until we're all allowed to live again. Open up using protective measures, those that wish to continue hiding under their beds should be free to do so without expecting the government to pay for their choice. Right now it's all speculation with much of it politically motivated, and that's my opinion.

I believe you are right. However, I can say this. If by some horrible series of events the military were ever to use those dreaded "assault rifles" to suppress American protestors, you can kiss any opportunity for Congress or anyone else to ever push weapons bans through without flat out armed military forcing compliance.

one of my 'Rona Survival Story happened a couple weeks ago.

I have a 21 year old daughter on the spectrum. She's perfectly fine, works at a daycare and has no general issues, but she doesn't do well with sarcasm. She doesn't pick up on visual and auditory social cues that the rest of us take for granted...

Anyway, we were in our local supermarket and about 30% of the people at that time were wearing masks. My daughter asked me "Why are they wearing masks?"
Being a good parent, I told her the truth. "People wear masks to keep from spreading their germs to other people."
She replied, brightly enough "So the people wearing masks are sick?"
I responded, "Yes, if someone is wearing a mask, it's because they are sick and they don't want to breathe on other people. So the masks help them keep all their germs to themselves. If you see somebody wearing a mask, you should try to avoid them as that's how you know they are sick."

Oh, the looks I got from the woman about 4 feet away from us as I explained this important truth...

I don't know about that. I think these folks carrying guns to protests are mostly full of ****. The government has been taking our rights for most of my lifetime, and this is the final straw? Nah, I doubt it. Like I said before, people want to work. They want to have a livelihood. They don't want to fight a civil war. War is hard. I think many Americans just don't understand what it takes from a person.
