Reading and seeing videos everywhere--- Miami is getting desperate and may make a trade for Russell Wilson.

Damn the pick in next year's draft - we need one of those WRs!!!

I just hope Kahn knows he holds the cards not Miami. They need Russ more than we need to trade him. They’re built to win now, have absolutely no cap room, and absolutely no QB. A QB like Russ is their only option. They can’t afford to bring Brady out of retirement. Any qb besides Russ that they can trade for is too expensive. Now I don’t think they’re giving up anyone who is currently contributing but we can probably fleece them in draft compensation.

From my phone's AI search:

Yes, Russell Wilson's contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers includes a no-trade clause:

What it means
A no-trade clause gives a player the power to veto any trade proposals made by their team. However, if both sides agree on a trade, the player can be traded even if they have a no-trade clause.

When it's relevant
No-trade clauses are often included in contract extensions and free-agent deals as a perk for the player signing the contract.

Meh... Highsmith + Wilson = Waddle

So let it be written. So let it be done...

I love Waddle but Highsmith plus Wilson seems high. Highsmith for Waddle seems more even. And I don’t think the Phins trade a player when they’re built to win now. I could see us getting a low end player plus a draft pick. But if we could get a 3rd for Wilson that would be awesome for a vet min signing. It would literally cost us nothing to get a day two player next year.

Wilson would have to be dealt for draft capital. No way do the Fish send us Waddle. They don't enjoy a lot of WR depth like the 49ers did/do. After Hill and Waddle, they don't have much. Even after Achane, they just have an old Mostert, a breaking down Wilson and rookie Jaylen Wright,

Expensive draft capital, or no deal.

Aside from that, would Wilson be that much better than Tyler Huntley anyway?

Just curious, what makes you think Omar Kahn doesn’t know he is in the driver’s seat? Mr. Kahn knows more about football than a very lot of people, including you.

Trust in Kahn, that if there is a deal made, it will benefit the STEELERS. Hold your worrying as it’s in good hands.

I kind of doubt they move Russ, unless the deal is very very good. We are paying near nothing and in a couple weeks, his trade value will increase as well as we will have a better view of the Fields long term.

Add in the “NO” trade clause………

Not interested in trading Russ unless the return is significant.

Another thing to think about, THIS team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, have a legitimate shot and play offs and a possible deep run with the SB as a final goal. They have the ability to go.

If a key component such as Justin gets hurt or regresses, then you have lost the season. Keep the RUSS and you have a chance to extend playoff season.

Exactly. Which is why I don’t think they move him…

1000% this^^

The goal is to build a team that beats the Chiefs, Eagles, and 49er's. That team must have significant depth because injuries happen, getting rid of Russ regardless of draft capital is too damn risky.

Nope... Kahn knows you dont subtract players from a playoff team without overcompensation unless they are an issue.

Miami views themselves as contenders right now... if they want the guy still listed as our starter at QB, its a first rounder or pound sand. This isnt about value, its about leverage

And nobody has a qb as accomplished as Wilson at league minimum... ...heck tell them you want a first plus a low rounder that you can trade for a backup... cap friendly contracts dont come cheap

Then you either trade their first for a wr or use it as a package for a qb next year if fields falters

As an added bonus, the Russell Wilson Redemption angle would be such a great story, maybe the league would let us beat the KC Swifties...

( This was tongue in cheek, for those who cant read sarcasm..... we all know the league will NEVER let their cash cow lose 😉...🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Although I want to see Herbig start I just don’t think they will trade Highsmith. I think they like knowing they have that quality depth.
As for getting Waddle…. Yes, that would be great and what we need but why would the Dolphins weaken their offense by trading Waddle?
I think it would be a draft pick but I’ll tell you what, it better be a premium pick. A first for a starting QB is what I’m asking.
Russell has to be growing impatient and wants to grow his legacy and go out on a high note. May not be able to do that here with Justin but in Miami, with a team ready to win now, has that chance.

No different from Wilson you don’t delete depth especially at critical positions. It just doesn’t make football sense for a team contending.
