This is police brutality

the main cop is going down no matter what. People will convict to stop a riot. The only way he possibly gets off is if they show evidence of some grand conspiracy where he rats out some bigger name people who ordered him to kill the guy. He’d likely get the Epstein treatment if there’s even a grain of something like that.

for me, I don’t care if he had a heart attack later and that is technically what killed him. You choked a guy out for like 8 minutes. Even if he didn’t technically kill him right there, he damn sure tried.

I do think the others could be found not guilty because they seem to be overcharged. They simply didn’t act. It seems like some kind of negligence to me. I’m no lawyer and don’t know all the possible charges but murder seems to me like they would have to have actively done something to kill him and not just stand back. Also, I think they did call an ambulance. It seems to me if they simply testify that they knew an ambulance was on the way and didn’t realize the prisoner was in so much distress, then they will likely get off.

But that's just it... are we a country of laws or not. If he died of something other than what the cop did to him then charging the cop with murder is unlawful. People should be charged with what actually happened. Which is why I don't like prison justice. Everyone wants the guy killed in prison... but another guy who probably killed someone. Why should prisoners get to hand out justice? Why should a serial killer get to kill a guy who only kill one person?

Look at where all this stuff is happening? Sanctuary cities and places where the governors released prisoners into the population prior to the riots.

Maybe the country needs to break up. It's sad, but there are irreconcilable differences about the fundamentals and rules we all play by. The problem is that you can't partition it by geography and the left has captured the young.

This Defund The Police thing is actually getting traction.

.

He is going to be exonerated, and there will be a second round of riots, even worse.

When Ellison raised the charges to Murder 2, he also raised the onus of proof . Yeah he made some happy, but now he has to prove intent. He can't do it. I think he knows it. Planning for second round.

When Lloyd was found Covid positive, it opens up a whole new defense. Holding his neck down to prevent infection. Get what I'm saying? Has to convince 12 jurors.

Buckle up. Not over.

LA mayor proposing a $160 million cut to the police budget for 2021, Minneapolis council claiming PD cannot be reformed, proposal to do away with it. This country is in deep **** thanks to liberals and progressives.

Nah. Just city with dim govs

But how can police be corrupt? They're government run.

Interesting that the people who praise socialism now want privatized police. The end result would be rich neighborhoods with private cops and poor neighborhoods held hostage by criminals.

It is so dumb. Once people calm down a bit they will realize the absolute insanity of not having cops. Typical of the elitist liberal to suggest something that will not effect them personally.

Like when they protest Walmart and keep them out of poor neighborhoods when Walmart is the exact store that poor people need.

This unfortunately is what needs to happen. There's absolutely no way in hell we will ever meet in the middle again. One side does want to impose it's will forcefully and without compromise. It's been relentless trying to reclaim the presidency by any means necessary.

Our only saving grace will be a constitutional convention of the states. We need to iron some stuff out on a bunch of issues. We either gut Washington and term limit these career swamp creatures or we will need some type of amicable breakup.

Police brutality aside. This thing just stinks.

I think us minorities need to look at improving our communities first before claiming oppression etc.
Overall our views carry a suspicious resentment to whites and authority. Racism does exist, always will. But to say we’re oppressed is a cop out for our own inability as a whole to take advantage of what is provided. Especially communities that are victims of riots. Those places have worked hard through local leaders and tax payers to provide proper resources for reasonable success.

I asked a question many, many pages ago. Are the police regularly drug tested. I don’t mean pre-employment. Or after they, say have fired their gun, being investigated. I am talking like random drug testing. The only thing I saw was mandatory pre employment. And they were tested for THC,Cocaine,PCP,few others before they became cops. What about after?

I really think steroid testing should take place. I am sure the Union would be up in arms over this. My gut feeling thinks the results would be very interesting.

Not sure if there are any police officers on this board. I would love to hear your opinions on all this, even if done in secret.

I can only speak from my experience/observations of my aunt’s husband who was a county cop for 15 years.
- steroids - possibly as they do have gyms/fitness and some guys were jacked.
- drugs - I’m sure they experiment with the confiscated stuff. Not sure, but could be a thing.

Now my biggest take away, cause this guy really got stressed out and had a breakdown.
He’s still easily triggered at times.

Cops see some really messed up stuff through out their tenure.
When you come across cases where it involves a death of a child.

So. Honestly I feel they should be subject to multiple test. Not just drug testing

The comments are sad. Most are in favor of the burning. These people are asking for a world I don't think they're going to like if they get it.

This is frickin awesome! They should play this at the RNC too! lmao.

You drink much Sun King Indy? They just announced this morning that 10% of all proceeds will go to the Indy Bail project to bail rioters and protesters out of jail. So much for my Wee Mac cravings.

MN has a recently woke Democrat governor Tim Walz, a radical liberal black Democrat AG Keith Ellison, Ellison's son Jeremiah is Minneapolis City Council President and he supports dismantling the police, Minneapolis Chief of Police Medaria Arradondo is black and was appointed by previous Democrat Mayor, and the Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is a poster boy for woke Democrats. Where is the systemic racism in the police force coming from?

But you wonder in that case about our outside enemies. The DNC already walks in goose step with our largest one.

Wow. Yeah, I like Osiris. Not any more. I won’t go to their Carmel location anymore either. BTW, if you haven’t already had it try Robert The Bruce from 3 Floyd’s. > Wee Mac

Not to wade into the ultimate geopolitical irreconcilable differences, but go back to where the term ghetto was reputed to have started. I believe it was the Jews in Warsaw if not mistaken or in that time period. Despite a literal holocaust, they did not stay in the ghetto. Whether one agrees with political zionism or not, one must marvel that they "made the desert bloom" when the Arabs did little to nothing with Palestine for millennia.

Carroll Quigley in "Tragedy and Hope" gives some insight into the psychology of victimhood:

"The Israeli were full of self-sacrifice, self-discipline, social solidarity, readiness to work, cooperation, and hopes for the future. Their ideology was largely Western, with a devotion to science, democracy, individual respect, technology, and the future which could match or exceed the best periods of the Western past. All these things made them anathema to the Arabs, whose hysterical hatred was not really aimed at the loss of Palestine as a land but at the presence of the Israeli, whose qualities were a refutation of generations of Arab self-deceptions and pretenses.

Remember just a few years back when the Israelis ceded some of the West Bank and left state of the art greenhouses the Palestinians could have used to feed themselves. What did the locals do? They destroyed and looted the greenhouses out of hysterical hatred because they had no future-preference.

We're seeing too much "hysterical hatred" going on and not enough of the "self-sacrifice, self-discipline, social solidarity (around these values and not George Floyds of world), readiness to work, cooperation, and hopes for the future."

I have not tried much of 3 Floyd's, but I will have to pick some up this weekend. Bailing out people that just got caught looting, vandalizing, and stealing makes SO much sense. The level of idiocy is just mind numbing.
