This win feels real empty, doesnt it?

You are right. The problems persist. I don't think enjoying the win makes anyone not realize that. It's not that deep. It's just enjoying beating the Ravens for the division title.

It's like Christmas if you have to work the next day. Do you worry about work or just enjoy Christmas for the day?
I hear you! By all means enjoy this win as you should.
I just think this win only prolongs the real problem here, Tomlin.
I won’t allow myself to get too invested in this current team only to get let down again.
If we can somehow win a playoff game for the first time in nine seasons I may start investing again but what happens if we get beat? What happens if we’re not competitive? Then what?

Wah, wah, wah. Are you this much of a Sensitive Sally in real life?

Say you lost the argument without saying you lost the argument…again…nice deflection

Are you this big of a pretentious douche?

I'm with you Mad, so much so that I didn't watch the game, not one second. Wifey watched "When calls the heart" as I sat on the couch filling my gut with bourbon playing scrabble on my phone.

When I was stationed in England, my wife and I would pull out the sleeper sofa in the living room and wake up at 2am to watch the Steelers on a Monday night game. I'd head to the base after the game tired as ****. We loved our Steelers and seeing "home" as the blimp hovered over the Pittsburgh skyline filled our hearts.

This isn't the Pittsburgh Steelers. This Defense isn't feared...it's laughed at mockingly in podcasts. This offense is a patch work of geriatric patients past their prime trying to find one more championship before retiring to the Bocce courts. Does that sound like a representation of the city of Pittsburgh? Of it's people? of it's very culture?
I think a lot of what you guys are feeling is that it isn't the same GAME OF FOOTBALL of the glory days.
Not this team's fault.

Yes I am. I have a t-shirt that says those exact words!

Winning or losing? The Steelers won. It was fun for a day. Try to enjoy it. Start worrying about all the stuff you worry about tomorrow.

That's cool because there's nothing cute about your racism.
You poor thing. If someone values competence, that doesnt make them racist. Racism is when you give an unqualified person a job and let them keep that job based on the color of their skin. Chew on that, bigot.

Sooooooooo

I took the long way to work today just so I can listen to 105.7 the fan a bit longer. The agony is awesome.
At work today did I purposely wear black and gold? Maybe.
Oh they are all so sad today.
Their season is over and their biggest rival caused it.

The excuses are multiple. Penalty not called on "the miss" ok. Holding on our last drive? Sure. Offense pass interference not called? Yep. Would have been different if Hamilton were in there? You bet!.

Today is a good day to live near Baltimore.

I agree it does possibly prolong it. But I don't think they were ever gonna move on from him anyway. So I enjoy the good stuff when it happens.

If they get beat, we'll all deal with it. We aren't really that delicate are we?

Yet instead of you enjoying it you’re here pissing on/talking down to people who feel differently than you calling the tread “pathetic”…which is way different than just stating your opinion…what’s that say about you and your life…

You, calling anyone else a bigot, is hilarious. He wasn't hired because of his skin color. He promptly won a Super Bowl and went to another. We can argue about playoff success but there is no argument about him being qualified for the job and at worst a good coach. He will also be in the hall of Fame. You my friend need to look in the mirror to see a bigot.

Man, let's all get together for some beers for the playoff game! Some of you guys would be all kinds of fun!
I’m hilarious.

Instead, I'll just block your ignorant comments.

On a scale of 1-10 the game was an absolute 10 on the exciting scale for sure.
At the end of the day, we are sitting at 10-7 just like last season with Russell Wilson, just like the season before with Mason Rudolph. We have beaten 1 playoff team all season, it's ok to say the game was exciting, but still have doubt in them, because you still see things that have been going on for a long time.
Pretty much how I feel. The only thing that gives me any kind of hope is having Rodgers and DK coming back. The bad thing is they are about to face a vicious pass rush.

Idk. What do you think it says?

That is a separate issue and it's one many of us old-timers have come to grips with, player safety, and once we saw two dearly loved giants of the game, Jugs and Iron Mike suffer horribly from brain damage, we immediately understood why the game needed to change. Now, we can debate how much it needs to change because based on that horseshit roughing the passer call on Cam they may as well tie flags to their waist.

You sum up my feelings pretty well just nothing to get excited about it’s one thing to see a young teams make mistakes but this is a veteran team and at times the defense seemed to collapse! is super embrassing! I can’t recall our sendary having the lapses in the secondary! And tomlin and our dc are both secondary coaches! That tells a lot right there! We made zawhoopiedooo!!! Means another of mediocrity

Only idiots think that was leverage on the field goal try... you can land on players, you just cant pust off on a leap

Blame a deceptive still shot for that BS... watching the tape, it is clean

This is a pathetic thread. Shiit, they won. They beat the Ravens and knocked them out. These games are so many times a little different. Idk what is going to happen next week, but whatever it is, we can deal with it. So why not just enjoy the win?

Because in addition to being incredibly lucky, like the last Ravens win, I don't think it brings us any closer to the ultimate goal of winning a title, and in fact, may have taken us farther away. They're not winning 3 playoff games and beating the best of the NFC, FFS they're 3.5 pt home dogs to a team that's won 9 in a row with the best D in the NFL.

But since they won that sad division, Rooney will likely reward Tomlin with yet another extension and Rodgers will likely re-sign for 1-2 years, which means we remain on the treadmill of mediocrity for 2-3 more years instead of making the hard decisions to get back to championship football.

This is the kind of win Jets, Raiders, and Browns fans strive for. Have we set the bar that low now?

Reasons Ravens lost

1. Kicker choked
2. Horrible pass D was horrible down the stretch
3. Terrible HC basically benched Henry after the half
4. Lamar sucked in the 2nd and 3rd quarters
5. No pass rush strategy fails for the zillionth year.

Refs don't make the list this time

If that wasn't exciting then you should probably stop watching and cheering. I mean that sincerely with no animosity.
If it’s not animosity it’s condescending and a weak argument

That’s not for you to decide or say. Don’t question why someone else is a fan or someone else’s affinity for the team

If that’s all you have to defend Tomlin and this team with that says a lot

Walking out of the stadium last night was really fun, and it was great to see so many happy fans......but there were a bunch of folks yelling about Tomlin and Smith, and the bad TOs early in the 4th, that we're probably resigned, like me, that Tomlin is now here for 26 and probably 27.
Probably longer than that…
