Boy oh boy, if you think we have problems, at least we're not Tampa Bay. They flat out suck badly. 28-0 beginning of second quarter? Holy crap.

Being the road team on Thursday night is clearly a major disadvantage. Maybe I'll go a little easier on our guys for the egg they laid last week.

A little.

Well we shall see Tampa Bay @ home after the Carolina Panthers. I'll bet they light us up for 30+!

Salute the nation

LOL nah.. it'll be a 13-9 snoozefest with lots of 3-and-outs and Ben will probably break his clavicle or something

Thursday football sucks. It's horrible.

Yet I watch it, dammit.

Smart punt there, Lovie. Hang in the game and live to fight later. Going for it could've blown this thing!

Well, I no longer feel like we suck as much *** as I felt a week ago. This is the worst game I've ever seen. Ever.

Thursday night football...because 3 days is plenty of rest...right Rog!

LOL was at the baseball game tonight - had no DESIRE watch this game but I am sure the rating will be A BUST --- especially since the game was so lopsided

Thursday football sucks. It's horrible....

I heard Tony Dungy on a radio interview this week. He was asked to name something - not rules-related - he would change about the NFL.

Without hesitation he said, "Get rid of the Thursday night games."...

Watching this and seeing Lovie Smith and the team sitting on the sidelines stewing means when they travel to the Burgh in 10 days they'll be pissed off and ready to show everyone they are better than this horrific performance tonight.

Thursday games are horrible. The players just aren't ready physically and the road team has it even worse. The games are generally not well played. The Ravens weren't very good last week either.

Atlanta looked good but TB was so shockingly bad, it didn't take much to look that good. There were wide open WRs all over the place. Even Hester's return TD was a joke. there was a gaping hole.

With the new ***** practice rules and shortened training camps, teams are barely ready to play on Sundays until about week 4 anyway. Now you throw in a Thursday game and it's a recipe for some really bad football.

As if that's not bad enough, they have rules that restrict when you can practice AFTER the Thursday game so it's not like you get the benefit of extra practices for the following game.

Here's the worst part. Somewhat acknowledging that last year's Thursday games were ****, the NFL though the solution this year would be to schedule division games on Thursday as if the reason the games were **** was because the teams weren't trying hard enough. So now you may have divisions decided by these **** Thursday games.

A 13 to 9 score might indicate a good defensive game, which does not strike me as a snoozefest.

Crezdon Butler on what? His fourth team now? Quite surprised to see him playing for Tampa I remember reading he got cut by the Chargers at the end of training camp.

Fell asleep and I'm actually surprised the Buccaneers got 14 points. Was it scrubs vs. scrubs? Horrible.

Mike and Mike were bitching this morning about a flag thrown on Devin Hester for celebrating. I didn't watch a second of this, so I didn't see it. Apparently, he broke Deion's record and was doing a Deion move as he ran for a score. The NFL was calling it "Must See TV" on their website or Twitter or something, yet they threw a flag on it as an illegal celebration. More hypocrisy from the No Fun League.

Week 1- Sea 36 GB 16
Week 2- Balt 26 Pit 6
Week 3- Atl 56 TB 14

That is a disturbing trend of Road team beat downs...

Yes, but in every one of those games the home team was favored. Last year the Steelers lost @ Balt as well 22-20 and that was in the 2nd half of the season when supposedly they turned it around. Does anybody really think any of those teams would have won if they were playing 1'clock Sunday games?

Thats the thing- I agree with you.

I think that we still would have lost @ Bal last sunday (as with the Packers and Bucs). However, i think the games would have been a lot more competitive. As of now, the road teams have lost by an average of 27 pts- it would be probably be in the area of 10 or so if it were Sunday, or at least a Thursday later in the season.

It's hard to say. If you look at the schedule all the home teams look like favorites to me until Thanksgiving night. The Seahawks go to the 49ers then. So we'll see how they do. A lot of these Thursday night games are teams within the same division. So they are tough games anyway.

The Thursday games are awful and, for the most part, have been since they were implemented back in 06 or whenever it was. Being on CBS means the ratings will probably be up this year so we can probably count on these crap fests continuing for quite awhile.

I didn't even know there was a game on, to be honest. I was watching the Auburn game on ESPN. Judging from what I've read in this thread, I didn't miss anything.
