Franchise QB - what has it done for us in the last how many years?

While it will suck to find another QB going forward, I am ready to see him traded. We need 5-8 starters to get back in regular contention, trading Ben could get us 2-3 of them.

Need to pull off a Hershel Walker type of trade.

Yes, a 'Hershel Walker-type' trade, because we need to find a way to get 5-7 guys in the draft that are too small, too weak, or too stupid to play the position we draft them for - and we need them all at once!

We need way to many players, and his Salary cap numbers are going to hamstring us.

We need at minimum:
1 DL
2 OLB
2 Safety
1-2 CB
1 OT
1 TE

If we trade Ben, add a QB.

We need too many players. Herschel Walker type of trade COULD cure our ills. BTW, they do not need to come from the same draft.

I also do not have faith in the team not ******* up those same draft picks.

I only look at a trade as a BUSINESS DECISION. This game is a BUSINESS, first and foremost. Ben will NEVER be worth more going forward. He is going to cost WAY TOO MUCH from this point on.

Tombert has ****** this team up over the last number of years, time to move on. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions, and leave emotion out of it.

I have been a fan for over 40 years, I REMEMBER ALL the post Terry B years. Most of them were because the TEAM made bad choices, colored by emotions.

Ya beat me to it. I remember living through all the post Bradshaw jabroni quarterbacks. It all starts with the signal caller.
So you trade Ben or let him go, who is your replacement then? Gradkowski who's a journeyman? Cutler? Hoyer?
Be careful what you wish for...
And a final note, by this time in his head coaching career. Cowher went 7-9 and 6-10 back to back years. Tomlin went 8-8 twice and has yet to go below .500.

The oline played like garbage. we also missed Bell BIG time. Then our defense couldn't get them off the field. They punted twice all night and one was actually blocked at the end of the game. We didn't get any consistent pass rush from our linebackers.

So when it comes to the draft and personnel, Tombert has **** the bed and you want to trade the 2nd best QB the franchise has had for draft picks? How in the hell does that make any sense?
