This is why I have a problem with the losses. I thought this team grew from years past, but those three games showed this team is still stuck in neutral because they weren't competitive.

I told him today that I was done with Tomlin.......big mistake. He gave me the "your're racist aren't you?" look and I pivoted to Austin - I said he sucked too. It went South from there.

The eagles game we had no shot. The Ravens have been a better team the last few years, but have pretty much self-destructed against us w/ penalties / drops / turnovers. Last game they did not make huge mistakes and they let Henry take over. We were still competitive till the 2nd half. The Chiefs game we could have been leading at half-time, but got outclassed the second half. This team lives and dies by turnovers which is not a consistent way to win. How many games did the D get shredded only to get timely turnovers to bail them out? You can make your own luck occasionally, but eventually it will run out or bite you in the ***. Players either dont know their assignments or are bailing on them. On offense the line just struggles and I refuse to believe it is purely a talent issue. Some lines in the league dont have the talent we have and make it work better. I know we dont have a real #2 WR, but Austin has been stepping up and we have a very good receiving TE, a giant TE, and a good receiving RB. The other WRs are serviceable we just dont have the flow on offense to use the weapons properly.
Year after year, Shades losses to inferior teams, and it's not ever a surprise. He's been doing this his entire career. The two losses consecutively to 2-10 teams last year? He constantly under-prepares for bad teams. Browns this year not a change. Same old under-preparer.

Exaclty, WTF happened to the fans around here, hell the whole damn city. I hear tons of fans calling in to radio shows saying, yeah well we played 3 good teams so I'm ok losing to them, the guys on the radio saying the same ****. We got our assed kicked in all 3 of those games, how is anyone ok with that???
Don't you know Steelers fans are spoiled? We shouldn't expect more, being so spoiled. We should be more than satisfied with the contrived and mediocre.

These talking heads don't understand that us fans can be appreciative of winning football while demanding more of the team. It's not about losing to the last three teams as much as not being competitive with them for all four quarters.
If they think it's bad now, lose on Saturday night and go out like suckers in the playoffs. It will be apocalyptic.
We are all being programed into becoming beta fans.
Any other franchise would be happy to have Mike Tomlin and he'd have a job within 5 minutes...
He said it again today, asked about the team's future he immediately said, "We have to limit turnovers," first thing that came out of his mouth, it's like the only thing that matters. I am so sick of this bozo. it's all he knows, period.
