Tomlin Sucks

It really started when they knew Ben had 1or 2 seasons left and Lamar Jackson was sitting there for the taking and they drafted Terrell Edmunds instead. Been searching for a QB ever since. No disrespect to Terrell but he was not a 1st round pick.they can’t draft tight ends and WR’s now I saw Roman Wilson play 2 snaps this season.

You think Mike could have turned a struggling LJ around? He would have been that early rat version.

This team supplements their draft with free agency well. They in game can’t coach themselves out of a paperbag more often than not. When it matters.

Anywho Mike pulls the trigger on decisions and more often than not is shooting blanks.

Oh if the players just aimed better while he holds and loads the gun filled with blanks.

But he survived longer than some of the other cowboys right?

Tomlick did it again. It was jawdroppingly bad clock management AGAIN......

2nd and 6 at the 45, 40 second left. Use your last timeout! You would have plenty of time to get into FG postion. Instead he lets 20 seconds roll off, then we take a sack and there are 15 seconds left. It's just CRIMINAL how ignorant his football IQ is. Disgraceful.

Absolutely. I agree with that again in theory. But they did try a seam route to the TE against the Chiefs. The knucklehead WR didn't run out his route, the safety left and picked the ball off. If the players won't, or can't or whatever do it, what are you left with? Where I disagree with some of you is that I don't think the talent, or heads, or a combination of both is the to do these things. Now, that is the responsibility of the coach and FO, so we are on the same page there.
The knucklehead QB never even looked at Pickens to draw the safety over and make him respect the left side of the field, the knucklehead QB stares down the center of the field drawing the safety over, the Knucklehead QB ignores the open checkdown choosing to throw into triple coverage and the old man knucklehead QB makes an inaccurate throw taboot. So we are on the same page that the QB obviously isn’t good enough to execute much. Having a **** scheme doesn’t help out these untalented QBs any.

So we bear witness to year after year of **** QBs in a **** scheme and eat our **** sandwiches…and Rooney says dammit sit there with a smile and enjoy that **** sandwich!

Look, at the end of the day none of us really know what is going on, one way or the other. We make assumptions. Perhaps this is why I have given Tomlin and the staff benefit of the doubt. We think we know, but we don't know shiit, one way or the other.

But I listened to DK this morning about the game. This is a guy that is close to the situation, and he was highly critical of Tomlin and the staff. I like DK because he seems reasoned in his analysis. Anyway, I gotta concede after listening to that and some of the Williamson stuff over the year, you guys are more right than me, a lot of it IS the coaching.

But unfortunately, as ugly as this is, it may have to get a lot uglier for Rooney to do anything. Idk, I'm a pretty positive guy, but this has a little of the hopeless feeling that I remember from the '80s.

It’s so sad how this once proud franchise has gotten to this point.
No one fears this team any longer and they’ve become an easy mark for the good teams.
I ask myself why has it gotten this bad? Just to keep a HC way beyond his shelf life because we don’t fire HCs.
I can’t sit here today and honestly say that I would ever trust Art and Tomlin to ever win a championship let alone seriously contend for one.
This team is a mess with no clear cut leaders, no franchise QB, aging players like Watt, Minkah, Cam, on defense.
The only legit offensive star Pickens doesn’t even seem like he wants to be here.
Our best weapon is a ******* kicker. No offense to the Boz, without him we probably do have our first non winning season, but sad our kicker is our best weapon.
Man, every year seems to get more futile and success seems to be measured on non losing seasons. That’s sad where we are now.

So bad that The Bengals didn't hesitate to blast Renegade in the locker room after the game.

I feel bad for the past and current players (who really care) on this team who try their best to overcome some of the obstacles that face them nearly every effing game for several years. It's just plain depressing and it seems there's no way out of this until ownership changes something.

We are stuck with this dipshit unfortunately. Unless he decides to do the noble thing and fall on his sword. Rooney won’t fire him. No way no how.

I'm angry because I used to have a blast going out to watch the games but quit almost a DECADE ago because I knew it wouldn't' change nor would he be fired. Oh well, lots of good food to eat. The Steelers are totally irrelevant until this clown is GONE. See ya.
Same here. When he stepped on the field against the ravens was when I knew what he was all about. Pity, we had some food talent come to the steelers through the years and just wasted it.

LOL, F yourself ya Raven fan that just joined here within the hour. Dips*it.

I know that as a casual fan I can literally call out run/pass with 95% accuracy and the exact play concept with about 75% accuracy

I’m guessing the opponents and their coaches that are paid to actually sit around and break down film are probably a step ahead of me the casual fan.

That is a glaring issue and has been for years.

That is also 100% coaching, or a lack of solid coaching.

Teams don’t need to steal signals cuz it’s that predictable…just trust what they see and it’s like we’re playing 11 psychics on the other team.

A tough hill for any player to climb.

I am withholding judgement on Smith because TOMLIN determines the game plan, as proven by nothing really changing with the last 4 OC’s.
If only the media/sport show hosts would understand this, tomorrow will be fire Smith, blah, blah, blah.

For any of you Ford Versus Ferarri fans, you can appreciate this...

I told my wife that someone needs to approach Mr. Art Rooney and tell him that Roger Goodell said that He isn't Art Rooney, he's Art Rooney the second.

Let's go to war.

I feel bad for TJ

As much as I love seeing him play they should trade him to the Lions so he has a chance at actually winning something.

Crazy how times have changed when a generational player needs to escape the Steelers and go to the Lions for a shot at meaningful games.

Thanks Mr. Rooney

I've thought the same thing for TJ and Heyward.

Then I remembered the '80s. We never felt bad for Louis Lipps or someone and wished he could go somewhere else to win something. We've become soft! Hahaha.

I know Lipps wasn't remotely generational, but he was probably their best player during those middle '80s years till Rod Woodson got there.

I appreciated every second he was on this team and didn't even mind when he was fading at the end of his career knowing what would be coming after he retired.
It was crazy fans were running him out of town after the elbow injury, alot were excited to see him retire. The two seasons after elbow surgery 7,000 + yards 55 TD's, 65% completion %, eventhough he couldn't move real well he still moved this offense. Hell look at Dionte's numbers with Ben.

I'm surprised the Steelers haven't switched over to REO Speedwagon anyway by now with this soft bunch.
