Trubisky!

good. i'll take it. not my first choice, but, i'm willing to see what he has while NOT playing for a nightmare of an offense under nagy. an ideal bridge guy, and i'm very relieved the steelers didn't become enamored with someone among this coming draft class.
especially with Tune coming out of UH next year.....right?

Trubisky has a plus arm, good mobility, can run the RPO with an actual threat to run by the QB, produced with some mediocre skill position players at Chicago, threw 0 picks in the playoffs in 72 attempts.

The last time the Steelers obtained a potential starting QB who was an Ohio native ...
Never mind. It would be too much to ask for. lol

What about Doowayne Haskins? :)

My kids goes to OSU. Gonna graduate in December. Was there for Haskin's last couple years.

Umm.....we have Matt Canada and his AWEfense...and a ****** O-Line. Mitch was competing with Ben for awhile for taking the most sacks (see below). I'm hopeful he finds a home here, but he isn't stepping into a well-oiled machine by any stretch.

Will pray that he is entering his prime, the game has slowed down for him, the O-line is shored up, and Matt Canada finds a brain.

this is true. i pray that Canada was basically sandbagging because maybe the majority of his playbook, he thought Ben wouldn't be able to run due to age...I dunno. I seriously hope that our offense looks much different this coming season.

With what was available, and our current QB's I don't dislike this move for 2 years. He may do great. Fix the other positions though.
Yep and a two year contract can give him the guaranteed money but backload it and save that available cash for a couple significant starters.

Great move by your Pittsburgh Steelers. As you all know I’ve been pimping this guy for months and am elated the team saw things my way.
Seriously boys, best option for this football team. Didn’t have to give up anything, reasonable contract which if he outplays it, we extend him with a better contract.
Starter for four years with a crappy Beard organization and got them to playoffs twice and was a pro bowl selection. Also please keep in mind that Nagy thrust him into the starting role as a rookie after only one year starting experience at NC. I love the move and now let’s use our draft to add OL and DL.
Wouldn’t mind seeing JuJu extended too.
Get rid of some dead wood Banner, Shoebert, and Tuitt and bring in Bobby Wagner, and one of the top CB’s. Sign a center and maybe a RT.

Think about that. He actually was part of a Bears playoff team.

Haskins is a Maryland native. Though he played at tOSU.
Congratulations on your kid graduating from one great university!!

Tendered Haskins, Mason as back up or look to get a late pick?

Personally love the move. QB draft 2023 and 24 said to be much better also

Not a big Trubisky fan but Good move overall... The next question will be if he can win the #1 job but whoever does I will support. I'm hoping this takes QB out of play for the draft.

Yeah, I get it, the clip from TSF is highlights, which are always good, yes, I know. But ...

Dude has an arm. His running ability is obvious. Those ******* teams sending 6 guys and relying on Ben to stand there and get hit will now be ****** as Trubisky tucks and runs, or finds room and burns the depleted secondary.

Terrible choice Steelers this guy is trash much better options out than Trubisky, there is a reason no team wanted Trubisky last year or this year what the Steelers have is better than this guy. What are they thinking in signing Trashbisky

I heard Gmen was in the running for Trib as well.

If I am the Steelers I still look to see what QBs might be available. You want the best competition possible. In the meantime the need to snag a CB and C and continue getting that OLine fixed.

We just upgraded our running game, he will run for 400 or so yards.

Not a fan. Not that we had many options, but damn.

Welcome to mediocrity for some time to come.
I think this was the epitome of low risk, high reward potential.

Cost zero draft capital to acquire a former 2nd round pick QB. The Bears were not contenders when they earned the right to pick 2nd overall! One can speculate what could have been if Bears go Mahomes and KC goes Trubisky in that draft. Could have been quite different career paths if Mahomes had to start out in Nagy’s inept offense with very un-similar skill players to what he’s got in KC.

NOT SAYING HE’S A GUARANTEE, but for the cost of some cap space and no draft capital, they may have struck gold!

Now remaining cap space n premium draft can go to filling all the holes and depth to put a much more solid team around a potentially VERY capable QB????

Don't we have one of his WRs from the Bears on a futures contract? Kid with a little speed that we kept on the PS all last year?

Yep Anthony Miller.

I would have preferred Crabby Winston...by a smidge, but who knows how that turns out.

Welcome Biscuit.

Yeah I thought Crableg was the best available without a trade. I think Trib's scrambling ability fit what Canada is, "trying" to do.
