COOPER: If Obamacare is repealed and there’s no mandate for everybody to have insurance what’s to… and why would insurance company not have a pre-existing insure somebody…

TRUMP: I like tne mandate. Okay, so here’s how I’m a little bit different. I don’t want people dying on the streets and I say this all the time. And I say this… Look I did five speeches maybe six speeches today we had a lot of rallies with thousands and thousands of people. I mean we get big crowds. Everytime I talk about this I get standing ovations. The Republican people, they’re wonderful people, they don’t want people dying on the streets. Sometimes they say, “Donald Trump wants single-payer.” Because there is a group of people, as good as these plans are, and by the way your insurance will go way down you’ll have better players, you’ll get your own doctor

COOPER: Which…

TRUMP: Obama lied. Remember this…

COOPER: A person with a pre-existing condition should be able to get insurance?

TRUMP: Yes. Obama lied when he said you’re gonna keep your plan, you get to keep your doctor. I was a pure lie. Frankly many democrats went along only because they believed him. He lied twenty-eight times. Twenty-eight times he said it. Twenty-eight times. If that were in the private sector you be sued for fraud. Okay? He lied to get the plan through. He got it through and it’s turned out to be a disaster. The wrong people are buying it. You know what’s happening. It’s dead. It’s gonna… Look, ObamaCare is dead. It’s gonna be repealed, gonna be replaced. But I will say this, Anderson, if we don’t do something quickly you can have a health care problem that you… like you’ve never seen before in this country. Now the new plan is good, it’s going to be inexpensive, it’s going to be much better for the people. But there’s gonna be a group of people at the bottom people that haven’t done well, people that don’t have any money that won’t be able to be taken care of. We’re gonna take care of them through maybe concepts of medicare. We have hospitals that aren’t doing well. We have doctors aren’t doing well. You cannot let people die on the street, okay? Now some people would say “that’s not a very Republican thing to say.” Every time I say this at a rally, or even today I said it, once again a standing ovation, I said, you know, the problem is everybody thinks that you people as Republicans hate the concept of taking care of people that are really, really sick and are gonna die. And that’s not single-payer, by the way, that’s called “heart.” We’ve gotta take care of people that can’t take care of themselves. But you’ve got to get rid of the lines. You’ve got to have competition. those people that are left, we gotta help them live and everybody likes it when I say it, and that includes Republicans and it’s not single-payer.

Can you translate that into English?

One thing no one is reporting on yet is that Trump will garner more moderate Democrat votes than any other GOP candidate. That, in addition to the independent votes will push him over the top in the general. Once he is head to head and focused on tearing down Hilldog or Bern, his numbers will go up. Bernie hasn't attacked Hilldog at all and the media ignored Bernie as not a real candidate until recently. So, when the shots are finally being fired at them, they will both lose voters.

Plus, no one has talked about their health. When McCain ran, the Dems poured through his medical records like a bunch of crack ******. Hillary has a history of blood clots, so it will be interesting to see her health records. And, Bernie is what, 74. Definitely need to look at his too.

It depends. Some people keep on ticking no matter what, like my mother. I voted for McCain instead of Libertarian simply because Palin was his VP and he was old and might die in office. But no, he's still keeping the Dem Lite line alive in the Senate.

Matt Damon will let us know what the actuarial tables tell us regarding their expected lifespan.

I think what people have started to realize over the last 8-16 years is the both Republicans and Democrats are just acting the part of "ideological enemies" and in fact have been secretly working together to maintain the status quo of their power in Washington.

Neither really wants smaller government and is happy to stir the pot to maintain their electorate. Neither wants to change the core issues and loves the ability to skim off the top, add pork to every bill, and act all high-and-mighty as the savior.

Both sides have accepted the shifting presidency every 8 years and shifting congressional control every 4-6 years. They have learned to accept it and use it to their continued advantage. They talk a big game, but neither side really wants to upset the cart that continues to rake in billions and keep them in power as career politicians.

Their definition of working together is completely foreign to what normal, everyday America would consider "working together". They don't compromise on issues as much as decide how much they can add to help their core donors. There is no compromise. Only decisions on which fat bills to approve and decide on which congressman get the most perks for their special interests.

Trump won't play this game and they all know it.

He will expect real compromise and decisions to be made and if they don't he will out all of them as the hypocrites they are. Do you think Congress is going to send a bill to Trump that has tons of pork in it and risk having Trump show the world what the hell the bill actually says? I can't WAIT for that first press conference.

Trump has never been about right or left ideology. He's about shaking up Washington to see how Congress will try and continue to run the legislative branch like business as usual with him there.

Voting for Trump is like a magic bullet to basically vote against every Congressman in one fell swoop.

And I still don't consider one of his platform items that bad for the U.S. Not the wall. Not a stay on immigration from high-risk terrorist countries. Not his decision to overturn much of Obama's executive orders (we survived fine without Obama's executive orders before, we'll survive once they're gone).

I don't even think he'll put up a Scalia type for the Supreme Court.

As to what legislation he'll be able to get through on some of his other proposals (tax reform, business reform, etc.), who knows. That's up to Congress and how they react to Trump. I think Trump will gladly work both sides of the aisle to get some things done and I'll think he'll stand up to extortion and side deals. If the Republican in Congress resent him beating the establishment, I have no doubt Trump will run to the democrats and work to exact a liberal-leaning law or two just to piss them off.

And I have no worries about Trump as a diplomat. None. He's a professional schmoozer. He'll flash his trophy wife (who's smart as a whip), get the alcohol flowing and get more business done in 8 hours than Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Obama, Clinton, Biden or Kerry could dream of in a month. And the deals will be better for Americans to boot. I have absolutely no doubt about that.

And he's platforming on anti-war so the middle-right/left should LOVE him for that.

Post of the week. I don't need to quote the whole thing.
Know that 6 of the 10 wealthiest counties in the nation are in the Washington, D.C. suburbs.

I dont trust any actuary (wtf grows up WANTING to be an actuary?!?!) but if there's one actuarial tool who's the epitome of actuary fools and their tools, it's Matt Damon.

As the Trump train keeps gaining more and more momentum, I actually think his life is in danger. He could be considered that much of a threat against the status quo.

I mean, how hard would it be to frame a Mexican legal immigrant that assassinates Trump and just blame all the things Trump has said to date as the reason? Would the media really dig THAT much into his death? Doubt it.

And think about what kind of collective exhale from SUPER POWERFUL people in this country his assassination would cause.

It's been a long, long time (1960's) since an assassination in this country drastically changed the political needle. And conspiracy theories abound for all of them (Kennedy, King, Kennedy).

Are we really past stuff like that ever happening again or can the cycle repeat itself? History says it can/will happen. Maybe not now but certainly some day.

So you think there was a conspiracy behind the Kennedy assassination?

The 60's weren't a long long time ago. There are people alive who we're middle-aged in the 60's.

I'm sorry. but this makes me laugh. Donald Trump is a threat against the status quo? My lord this guy has taken on some messianic qualities among some of you. A few short months ago he was a TV Game show host...a joke.

I know I'm just beating my head against a wall here but what makes people think he's so "anti-establishment"? He's donated millions to politicians, mostly to Democrats and the Clintons. He's earned a fortune gaming the system. How this guy has become the champion of the little guy is beyond me. He's a Hollywood limousine liberal. It's going to be very sad for a lot of you if he ever does get into office and you discover he is about as "establishment" as they come.

I thought it was Ark.

Again, Trump has switched parties and positions several times in the past decade and a half... I think a lot of repubs are rightfully concerned he is far more liberal than his words make him out to be. He could also just be really fickle... He could totally sell this country out or do everything he says he will... there is no way to be certain. A lot of his backers just feel that we know what the establishment candidates on both sides will bring, which is more of the same, and that the gamble is worth it.

I'm in the gamble is worth it group now.

And if he swings back to the middle, I'll like him even more. The middle is where about 50% of the voter base is.

I think as soon as he gets through the primaries, his message will slightly change a bit to try and push Clinton more and more left while he tries to grab the middle. His anti-War in Iraq rhetoric and attacking Bush policies is exactly the kind of thing I expect more of come July/August. And I think once Bernie is out of the picture, he'll start attacking Wall Street a bit too. He'll argue he's much more qualified with his history in the business world and without Wall Street donors to enact real change (he's probably correct on that).

He's going to slowly chip away at issues Clinton thinks she has in the bag vs. a normal republican candidate.

The guy is a chameleon. The minute Clinton tries to attack him on one issue, he's counterattacking on another. And with his dominance in media coverage/social media he just continues to shift the debate to what he wants. He never sits still enough on an issue to get pinned down and attacked. Without a voting record, people can't point to one thing and he's free to just be what he wants. And his use of innuendo and "I don't know, do you?" type attacks at candidates allows him to attack much sharper and deeper than any candidate ever. I mean his "Cruz is a *****" comment looks like shear genius now. Cruz never recovered and in fact hurt himself probably getting pissed about it and trying to retaliate.

And I've said this a couple times here too. If you are a hard right-winger and you're for Trump, he's swindling you. I'm fine with it because he took out that wacko Cruz and Obama-Right in Rubio. Two guys people in the middle don't want anywhere close to the White House.

If there's a hope out of all of this is the death to the Tea Party and the death to Cruz-types being somehow "good" Republicans. That image needs to die a quick death.

Nationalism is the name of the game now. America is great. Get on board. Legal immigrants wanted if you follow the rules and put America first (like immigration has ALWAYS been). Don't be ashamed to stick your chest out because look at how ****** up the rest of the world is. We've tried helping everyone else. We've tried warning them about religious governments and socialism and terrorism and open borders. They didn't listen. Oh well.

That's the message.

There's another GOP debate tonight on CNN. It will be fun to watch Cruz and Rubio try to take each other out while Trump bitchslaps both of them.

Sounds like everyone expects them to team up on Trump and take him out.

I don't know, he's been attacked in every debate so far and it hasn't worked. The only shot the GOP has to prevent Trump from getting the nomination is Rubio, and that's slim. They need to make it a two man race asap. I think there will be more dropouts after Tuesday. Rubio will get the Kasich voters and Trump will get the Carson and most of the Cruz voters. It will end up being the establishment's boring *** business as usual candidate Rubio vs. "I'm here to **** **** up" Trump. And by **** **** up I mean overturn all the communism. And cut spending, and enforce legal immigration and fight ISIS...you know the drill.
