Trump - Make America Great Again!

So Ryan hopes to support our nominee. **** him.

No, No, No - it's all good - we want them to hand over the billions to beat Hillary

They will ALL do as Donald commands - give it time for them to get used to the leash

good dog

"The United States cannot afford another four years of the Obama White House, which is what Hillary Clinton represents," Ryan and Trump said in a joint statement after their private meeting on Thursday. "That is why it's critical that Republicans unite around our shared principles, advance a conservative agenda, and do all we can to win this fall."

Republican Party chairman Reince Priebus, who sat in on the Trump-Ryan summit, tweeted that "the meeting was great. It was a very positive step toward party unity."

Appreciate the response Supe.

As to your points:

I'm tired of:

  • jobs being shipped overseas
Trump & Bernie have spoken out strongly against this. Trump has mainly used vague, generic talking points, with a lot of chest thumping, Bernie has laid out his specific plans on keeping jobs in the US. http://feelthebern.org/bernie-sanders-on-trade/

  • veterans going without healthcare
    - hearing about that alleged healthcare veterans receive
As usual, Trump has been bellicose in his support of veterans, yet managed to upset many of them by witholding millions of $$ from supposed contributions he had promised. Not sure what - if any - specific legislative proposals, Trump is suggesting, above and beyond shouting 'let's support our troops.' Bernie on the other hand, has a spotless track record in supporting veteran affairs, as the Chairman of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

    Bernie:
Authored the historic Veterans’ Access, Choice and Accountability Act to improve care and increase accountability at the VA.
Co-sponsored the Post-9/11 GI Bill to allow a new generation of veterans, servicemembers and dependents to seek a college degree.
Co-sponsored the Women Veterans Access to Quality Care Act, to ensureVA facilities meet the needs of women veterans, and require every VA medical center to have obstetricians or gynecologists on staff.
Introduced legislation to restore all cuts to military pensions.

As presidential candidate, Bernie has proposed:

Fully fund and expand the VA so that every veteran gets the care that he or she has earned and deserves.
Substantially improve the processing of Veterans’ claims for compensation.
    Expand the VA’s Caregivers Program.
Expand mental health service for Veterans.
Make comprehensive dental care available to all veterans at the VA.

  • immigrants who would be deemed "ILLEGAL" coming here without being vetted properly
Not sure what specific legislature Trump would introduce to change current vetting laws. In theory, I agree with making them stricter. Instead, he's maintained the need to ban entry into the country based on religious beliefs. I haven't seen a single, rational explanation of how this would be accomplished, and such a ridiculous act, the banning of muslims, would have untold consequences.

  • immigrants being GIVEN healthcare via taxpayer dollars
  • being forced to buy healthcare
  • being "fined" if I do not buy healthcare

I have no comment on these.

  • people receiving refunds who paid ZERO in income tax

I too agree that corporations should not be considered people, and that something must be done to avoid the huge tax loopholes and off-shore havens that mega rich individuals and big businesses regularly abuse, that rob the treasury of tax revenues.

  • my taxes going to an increasing pool of people who can work, but do not work (this does not include the retirees, veterans or disabled - but the able bodied and able minded who choose to not work)
In theory, I agree. I also think revamping federal spending to cut waste, corruption, bailing out wall street and too-big-to-fail banks and financial institutions, as well as the massive financing of the military-industrial complex would allow plenty of savings to better our schools, roads, infrastructure.

  • our elected President stroking the racial flames
LOL, you can't be serious if you write this while supporting a candidate like Trump

  • increasing crime but decreasing the allowance of my being able to protect myself and family
What exactly is 'decreasing your allowance to protect your family'? Stricter background checks? Closing gun show loopholes? Having more tranparency in gun ownership for law-abiding citizens?

  • continued assault on the 2nd Amendment
Plenty of scaremongering, screaming, hissy fits from the right, but I'm not seeing it. We've heard for the past eight years Obama was going to round up your guns. Never happened. Never will. Pure hysterics and NRA induced madness.

1. I work in IT and was previously in journalism/advertising. I see a **** ton of out-sourcing being done. Bernie has never ran a company. He may put some paragraphs and charts together that show how tough he is going to be, but in the end, is that what is best for companies and Americans? Don't get me wrong, I hate outsourcing to foreign countries. But there must be some way to do this without making it at the expense of the American worker. That same American worker that pays taxes.

2. Bernie was in charge of the VA. Anyone thinking the fox will protect the chickens in the hen house is naive or crazy. or both.

3. Trump said he'd not allow people from a specific area of the globe to come here without proper vetting. Sure, most of them are muslims and the majority of suicide bombers and terrorists from that area of the globe are muslims, so draw your own conclusions. In the end, he's putting more value on AMERICAN lives than on other lives.

4. I'm referring to individuals - not corporations. Living over in Hungary, you don't see the bullshit we do over here. Your opinion on how Americans live over here is not one that is current. You may read about some stuff on the internet, but you don't live the life over here. It'd be as asinine as me expressing an opinion on how African tribes live.

5. Obama pushed to bail out GM. Obama called it a SUCCESS. Just this week, GM issued a recall on a **** ton of vehicles, suggesting to not drive them. Success indeed. Success indeed.

6. Obama shoots off at the mouth every ******* time a "minority" gets shot by a cop. The ******** in Missouri was overkill. Hillary would be more of the same. Minorities don't even support Bernie, so who gives a **** what he says?

7 - 8. If you've ever bought a gun here, you'd understand. You simply cannot buy a gun off the internet, as Obama alleges. He's as out of touch with that as you are on everyday Americana. There are already a **** ton of hoops to jump through. As has been pointed out time and time again and again, over and over, making it harder for law-abiding citizens to purchase guns is NOT going to get guns off the streets of Chicago or any other gun-free Democrat utopia.

no. I put paper in the copier.
then moved to IT where I put turn monitors on and off.

You are correct, Trump has vastly more experience outsourcing jobs to foreign countries. I'm sure you've figured out how that's going to help you with your talking points.

2. Bernie was in charge of the VA.
Being the Chairman of a Senate Committee on Veteran's Affairs does not make you 'in charge of the VA.' But you must know that. Bernie has done more for Vets than probably any other elected official. But that doesn't fall into your preconceived notions, so let's dismiss it out of hand.

6. Obama shoots off at the mouth every ******* time a "minority" gets shot by a cop.
He would probably do the same if all of the sudden, like magic, cops started gunning down a disproportionate number of whites. Particularly unarmed ones.

If you've ever bought a gun here, you'd understand. You simply cannot buy a gun off the internet, as Obama alleges...There are already a **** ton of hoops to jump through.
Good to hear that, it's the way it should be. Should be equally hard to buy corrosive chemicals, or any other dangerous weapon or substance.

And btw, to your point I'm an expat living in Europe, so what. I have enough friends and family living in various parts of the States and have travelled back plenty. I grew up lower-middle class in L.A. in the eightees, went to public schools bused into South Central, surrounded by gangs, illegal immigrants, crack ******, welfare queens, et al. You think this **** happened overnight, you're wrong. I don't live in some vacuum because I live and work overseas. I see what's happening. I also know that the scapegoating on this board is beyond comprehension, when it comes to minorites, immigrants, muslims, what have you. I know more whites are on food stamps than blacks and other minorities. I know more whites gun down cops around the country than other racial groups. But no, we're gonna make America Great again by buying into the racist, bigoted scaremongering as touted by Trump. Again, I realize this doesn't fit in snugly with your talking points, so if that makes you feel better let's just say I'm completely out of the loop cause I'm on the other side of the pond.

Interesting because there is going to be a Libertarian candidate and Paul is pretty much a Libertarian.

Why he is still trying to work within a failed organization that does not want him, I will never know. He should have taken his show on the road a LONG time ago. He would have been a good choice for VP with Johnson.

we're roughly the same age.
that which you described in the 80s is now compounded and multiplied. and getting WORSE with Obama's America. If we could somehow get back to even just the 80s, things would be better than they are now. but that is wishful thinking, I know. Kinda like how you wish no one saw how blatantly racist your beloved Obama is. I mean, you try to say that cops do not kill white people. They do. Stats show that. Yet some piece of **** thug robs a store, beats a cop and tries to take the cops' gun, then charges at the cop and gets popped in his head with liberty and justice for all and Obama jumps on his podium to condem... the cop. rinse, repeat.
**** Obama and anyone who supports his bullshit.
Hillary would extend exactly what Obama is doing. Only the next decade would make THIS decade be the "80s" in comparison.
Bernie... dude, it's been shown time and again that his policies are not going to work. Examples are all over the globe. How anyone can cling to this is beyond sensible logic.

The way I remember it, you removed the paper so the skirts in the office always had to bend over to refill it each time. I like my version of your memory better ;)

Turning on/off of monitors? Pfft, haven't I passed on all my tricks of the trade to you? You need to loosen the vga/dvi cables at the back of the towers so when they ask you for help, you can take extra long under their desks fixing their "problem".

Republican labels don't mean much any more, although Bernie is still a crazy communist that hates black people and "deep south" - it's no wonder he only wins white states

Confirmed: Sanders is selling a fantasy agenda

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has attracted a passionate following because he is selling his followers a fantasy. And not just any fantasy — but one of epic proportions. A group of respected, nonpartisan experts offered the public a sense of the scale on Monday, releasing the most thorough analysis * yet on Sanders’s plan and finding that it is profoundly flawed

The analysts found that Sanders’s program is very progressive, jacking up taxes massively on the rich and providing a range of new benefits to the poor. Though every working person would face higher payroll taxes, the value of these benefits would leave 95 percent of households better off.

But there is a massive catch. Sanders’s assurance that he has “a plan to pay for every spending program he has introduced to date” is wrong. And not just wrong, but extravagantly so. Even with his large tax increases, Sanders would fall $18 trillion short over just 10 years. Factoring in interest costs, his plan would add $21 trillion to the debt over a decade. That is more than the roughly $19 trillion the Treasury already owes. And the picture would probably get much worse as time went on.

Sanders’s health-care plan is the big budget-buster. It alone would cost $32 trillion over 10 years

uhhh...how is that any different than the last decade?

Don't mean much but the Libertarian candidate will be stealing their votes from Trump. He can't afford to lose any.

Ooh, this is fun! Bernie and The Donald neck and neck! One's an FDR-styled democratic socialist and the other an avowed big business capitalist (masquarading - for the time being - as a conservative). One wants to spread the wealth to the working class, for schools, health care, veterans and seniors, the other to line the pockets of banks and the filthy rich. Eerie, isn't it?

Do you have any sense that either candidates will, like all others in the past couple generations, pivot towards the centre of the political spectrum as the election looms?

Who would benefit more?

I totally understand why Trump is wildy popular on this board.

Given the lack of credible opponents in the GOP field, I even understand how Trump secured the Republican nomination.

But for the life of me, I can't understand how any of you seriously think Trump can win a general election in this country. It just blows my mind, given the electorate around the nation. The numbers just don't add up, not by a wide margin. This is what we'll be watching between now and November...

Fixed 'er for ya.

https://www.quora.com/Can-FDR-be-fairly-described-as-a-socialist
No, it is not accurate to describe FDR as a socialist, because the New Deal was more about endowing the government with enhanced ability to regulate the means of production than about actually transferring ownership of means of production to social organizations such as unions.

meanwhile, Ol' Crazy B admits to being a socialist.

so, just because two animals can fly doesnt make them both eagles.
one can just be a horsefly

There's a shitload of things that you can't understand, starting with basic common sense.
What I don't understand is how have you not stepped on a rake and bashed yourself in your dumb face? Nor can I understand how you're even able to turn on your computer, much less actually type legible sentences. But the biggest mystery of all, at the top of the list of all the things that I don't understand, is how are you able to exist day to day, interacting with your friends, family, neighbors, colleagues without one of them taking a swing at you? That is if you're anything like this in real life. But I'm sure you're not, you just like to act like a big jerk here at SN. Just like Trump, a lot of frivolous yapping.

Tibs, you are a cult follower if you believe that Democrats give a flying **** about ANYTHING other than taking in more private citizen money and increasing their power. Democratic candidates don't give a **** if you live or die. Face the facts, man.

They do, however, care a ton about their offices, and staff, and trips, and perks, and on and on. Frankly, I am stunned that you actually think that elections are "good vs. evil."

No, they're not. They're "****** up crazy vs. lying, scheming, power-hungry douchebag."

Finally, if you need some government **** to help make you happy, I feel for you. Have you ever worked with government employees? Jesus-*******-A, you will never meet a bigger group of whining cunts.

Republicans want party more like Trump, not Ryan

730x420-8e0230d2a9c1a61ea83eb883af04c876.jpg

Donald Trump entered his pow wow with House Speaker Paul Ryan Thursday in the driver's seat, emboldened by a new poll that shows voters want the Republican Party to be more like the real estate tycoon, not the 2012 vice presidential nominee.

Rasmussen reported: "Nearly half (47%) of GOP voters now believe the Republican Party should be more like Trump than like Ryan. Thirty-two percent (32%) disagree and say the GOP should be more like Ryan. Seventeen percent (17%) opt for neither."

The poll also showed that 76 percent of Republican voters believe Congress has lost touch with the public.

And the proof of that is the polls findings that many Americans really don't care what Ryan thinks about Trump.

TRUMP TRAIN PICKS UP STEAM WITH CONSERVATIVES

'Let's make sure Hillary Clinton doesn't get elected'

WASHINGTON – There are increasing signs in the nation’s capital that conservative resistance to supporting Donald Trump is lessening and the GOP may be starting to unify behind its presumptive presidential nominee.

As chair of the House Freedom Caucus, U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, is the leader of the most conservative group in Congress, and he told WND, “I think we should unite around our nominee and make sure Hillary Clinton doesn’t get elected.”

Tibs,

The other side of the coin is his business-friendly plans would add millions of new jobs, which of course will tax employers and employees. This also means less people on welfare programs, which of corse will save the USA money too. Then you have a surplus. Economics 101

With the middle class sliding back about $5,000.00 per family, tax cuts are needed.
