While viewership dropped 14.1% in homes with more than $75,000 in annual income, it was down a whopping 28% in homes with less than $75,000.

In homes with a black head of household, the decline was 9.7% compared to 15.2% with a white head of household.

I've stopped attending Steelers games. The last few times I went, I left wishing I had spent the several hundred dollars on something else.

We were on the season ticket waiting list all through my 20's so we got our choice of two games and we went to them every year. I pretty much nixed myself off the waiting list by not going for the past 12 years. The combination of having kids and the cost made me lose interest in going.

My brother who doesn't have kids, called me last year all excited wanting to know if I wanted to split season tickets with him, I felt bad turning them down. 15-20 years ago the thought of doing that would have been crazy to me.

I am not suggesting that the following applies to you. You run a business, pay taxes, and are not one of the many who want government run-and-funded amenities that support DBS' statement. Specifically, leftists think that the government should take money from me to pay for all of the following for them:

  • School
  • Childcare
  • Medical Care
  • Work
  • Travel
  • Housing
  • Food

By having the government pay for those items, citizens necessarily give government control of those matters. In short, leftists want the government to provide and control every significant aspect of their lives, from childcare to education to travel to housing to food to medical care.

Hence, DBS' comment about "abdicating all power and responsibilities for life over to an all encompassing state."

My grandfather barely escaped the march on Leningrad that decimated what was left of the German army. Hitler knowingly sent those men to their deaths. My grandfather's command of the English language was the only thing that saved him that same fate. They escaped from East Berlin in 1953. They wouldn't be able to accept what has become of this great nation.
