Right...without the college at least every vote counts. Let's say 10mil people vote in California and 5.1 mil vote for clinton she wins the whole state. The other 4.9 mil votes are basically wasted. To protect the power of rural America/small States vs. the economic power and population densities of large cities/Big States. It's the greatest system in the world to do it this way.
